Someone already mentioned how Crean is holding this team back. At least once a game, I say to myself, 'Man I would love to see a real coach (Brad Stevens) coach this team. To be able to hone in on their individual skill levels and athleticism to play as a team. Who knows, maybe even play a little defense too.

Since Maui, I have been expecting these kids to step up the effort knowing Crean is on a very hot seat. Except for ND we have not had many "win for the coach" effort based games.

Many say we will lose s lot of kids if we changed coaches but I really think Crean has lost this team.

Honestly, I'm not convinced that the effort has been missing the entire time. I think we have a team that collectively has a bad basketball IQ and should not be playing in free offenses, that require them to make their own in game adjustments and playing complex, hybrid defenses. We got away with this stuff in 2011-2013 for two reasons. We had a high collective IQ and we were littered with pros. This is what I see anyways.

Crean's teams have no concept of valuing the ball nor any defense at all. I watched Hoosiers again last night, and I swear Gene Hackman could out coach Crean. Watching Hickory play defense made me feel better knowing Indiana basketball was once known for this. The one area of basketball that wins championships is the reason Crean wins very little at all. His 8 year B1G record now sits at a paltry 50-77(.394). That's a 7 win average and at this rate, even a Glass half filled lifetime contract wouldn't get him back to .500.

I know you were ignoring the first 3 years to better fit your argument but our conference record has really been that bad the last 4 years hasn't it? I mean even with a lifetime contact 10-8 would take 14 years. God knows his lifespan isn't that long.

I doubt his career records at IU will have any asterisks next to them blaming Kelvin Sampson for Crean's lack of coaching; although Crean would want them. Lol if you say so. Just find some of the comments as bad as his coaching. I am sure if we go 12-6 you will be one of the first to say how easy our schedule was. That would include 3 losses we should win. I want his ass gone but come on man. You are reaching a little bit. Yes your comment is one I am talking about. You are starting to sound like Crean in a post game presser from the opposite end.

Coach Crean record at this point is not why I want him gone. I respect coach. I just don't like the product on the court. I don't like bad fundamental basketball. What Coach says or doesn't say at his post game presser is not the issue. He's trying to save his job and I hate to watch it, but I want a change. I would prefer to do it without bashing the guy who came here when a lot of coaches ran the other way.
