14 pointsI'm not sure it does. If he doesn't want to play here then he should definitely go somewhere else. It's not a program breaker in my opinion. The portal changes everything. I really wanted Fland last year. Didn't get him. What we did get in the portal is better, maybe much better, in my opinion. My point is that in today's world, high school players matter less and less. Let kids go somewhere, see how they play, then make the good ones a great offer in the portal. I used to really want Indiana kids. But if they don't want to play in Indiana, then good luck wherever they go. I no longer care.

Making the tournament will be all it takes for him to last through the year, so we’re stuck on the Mike Woodson carousel until Mike Woodson decides to get off it. I don’t blame Mullins or any other player for choosing not to jump on board. Why come play for Grandpa Mike and his 1950s style offense when there are plenty of 21st century programs out there? -

I think his aspirations, and who really knows what those are, could possibly be a far bigger issue/factor than IU coming up with the compensation. I’m confident we will come up with the necessary cash but will that satisfy what he wants? Who knows? Let’s beat Nebraska Saturday. -

Not sure how big of IU fans the family was. I don’t think this was a Sisley situation where the whole family was IU fans. Pretty sure Braylon was named after a Michigan football player and his dad is a huge Michigan football fan -

It sucks from the standpoint of the homegrown IU fan getting poached. But I agree this is nowhere near a program breaker. I'm really looking forward to our back court additions that don't have a freshman learning curve and come with 3 years eligibility. I hope the Indiana boy represents basketball country well. But UConn can kick rocks, Mullins or no Mullins. Really big rocks. While barefoot. -

Well this was certainly a fun night. Final score 5-0 as our Hoosiers struck early and struck often. We finished with 10 total shots, 5 on goal and amazingly all for scores, and 5 corners. Michigan finished with 9-2-1. Team returns home to host Michigan State (5-5-2) (4-2) at 7:00 on Friday night. Televised on B1G+. -

I wish Mike Woodson showed one tenth of the vigor Hurley does on the court. But this conversation is starting to blur… his on court antics are another story. You generally won’t find me defending those, other than to say I think it’s odd people fixate on it so much. Him talking crap to fans in the stands is too much. I’m not inside the guys head (clearly) but he’s never really had a scandal. Guys clean as a whistle in terms of being a decent human being. -

What a horrible take. If it’s a lifetime achievement award? Then why the hell would about ten of those be over Woody? If it’s for the coming year? Why would Izzo be anywhere near the top? Or better than Rhodes for that matter! And when in the holy hell have Fran or Willard ever done anything other than underachieve? And geez; second coming Pikell couldn’t accomplish jack last year. He did a horrible job. -

College athletics today is a marketplace. Whether for players or coaches, you have to be able to make wise decisions about who you keep and who you let go. The trick is being smart about value. -

If I were in his shoes, I’d pick IU (obviously) because he can live the dream and if it doesn’t work out after a year, UConn/UNC, etc. will more than likely still be an option. It would be special for him to choose the Hoosiers and be a Damon Bailey type. -

Gonna have to disagree with you there. Considering he’s been very public about his struggles with mental health, including missing time during the season at SHU, he definitely does not fall into the “thinks his **** doesn’t stink” category of a$$hole. Like most coaches he tends to project a certain image. He plays a role as the tough guy from Jersey City but I think even he would acknowledge that’s a persona to an extent. He’s a competitor and a principled man from a good family. Just so happens he’s the best coach in CBB right now, so he’s pounding his chest, and that’s a problem for everyone else. Yes I’m biased since I became a basketball fan by watching St Anthony’s and St Benedict’s dominate in the late 90s-2010s… he’s the type of guy you’d love if he’s on your side, and hate him when he’s not. -

Since the definition of whiff is to completely miss something, how does someone completely whiff? More importantly, you’re wrong. Sisley is committed and by all reports, is tearing it up at Montverde. Not a grand slam, but in no way a whiff , and really discredits a guy who wants to be a Hoosier -
