Newkirk - Not the thread for it really, but I'm totally digging Newkirk lately. His speed is incredible and as long as he keeps his head on straight, he absolutely is a needed commodity on the team. He was near useless 2 months ago and now he is back to hitting 3s and so strong on the drives. Almost like Yogi bullying his way into the hoop. Definitely improving down the stretch. Greatest coach ever at IU. He's everything Tom Crean isn't and everything our program needs in a newer model. A great, disciplined leader, coach, teacher, and strategist. Someone who brings in young men of character and integrity with steely determination, focus, intelligence and grit. An evening listening to Bob Knight's take on any subject is a night well spent.

And just maybe coming to introduce Pat Knight as the next men's basketball head coach for Indiana University?!? (I kid, I kid)

My thought coming to work this morning was that we have no slashers/rim attackers since OG went down. No one cuts to the basket (except for Priller) last night. Look at footage of Troy, Collin, etc. last year. How do you think we were successful last year? We don't cut, we hang out around the perimeter and hope that our shots drop. Plan of disaster. Your friend is an example of modern day IU "settlers" - fans that no longer have high expectations. That kind of thinking is why our football program is historically garbage. I share this feeling. I'm getting to an age (mid 50's) where I feel that another lackluster hire may just mean never seeing my team pose a realistic threat for #6. There is absolutely no excuse for not making a significant upgrade to the coaching position. If not now, then when?

Crean should have used Priller earlier this season to send a message to bryant and others.
