Have no idea if this is a good hire. But the Chiefs have been pretty good for a few years now, so there's that ... As a die-hard Bears fan of 40-plus years, I hope he's better than the last Ryan in the GM slot ...

I have a ton of respect for Matt Eberflus.  He came into a bad position by accepting a job from a head coach who didn't even take the job.  He stuck with us as we hired a new coach, so he really didn't get to pick who he was going to work for.

Then he took our defense that had been awful for a decade and made it respectable (and sometimes awesome) instantly.

If I have one complaint about him it's that he played too much prevent defense at the end of games which allowed teams that we were leading to catch up and win.  That Baltimore game from earlier this year still angers me, but there were many others too.

Good for him.  We actually held onto him longer than I thought we were going to.

Sounds like Leftwich and Fangio are the finalists. Schefter expanded and said Fangio and the Jags GM were together in SF.

This NFC game is so frustrating to watch.

The Colts went into San Francisco and dominated the 49ers in a win.  The Colts also had a 4th quarter lead against the Rams before losing in the end.

49ers and Rams are playing for the Super Bowl.  The Colts Wentzed their pants and missed out completely.  

Can we move on to the Wentzless era of the Colts already?  I hate this.

Pretty amazing that Joe Burrow couldn’t get on the field at OSU, transfers to LSU and wins a natty and Heisman trophy and is now playing in the SB in his second NFL season.

I don't know anything about him that I didn't just read online, but he certainly has potential.  He was Defensive Coordinator for the Legion of Boom, has Monte Kiffin's recommendation, and has head coaching experience.

Yah the Chargers defense was actually one of the best 2 years ago under him, then fell off a lot this past uear/ Raiders were awful two yeas ago, then jumped to 9th this past year. Seems to have a good track record of getting more from guys. Just hope it isn't a cove 2/zone scheme. It sucks against good QBs

This girl's father and grandfather died within a short period of time, so her favorite football player took her to her school's daddy-daughter dance. He's from Richmond and went to U.Va.
