It seems like the big ten has 3 or 4 teams ranked unrealistically high every season.  Like last week when our sh*tty team gave UM a good game, it was obvious they (UM) wasn't very good.  I don't follow college football very closely at all, but I use our team as a good barometer for how good the other BT teams are - if they don't beat us convincingly, they're probably not that good.

What? Using individual games as a basis for evaluating how good a team is makes literally zero sense. Michigan was absolutely shredding teams going into our game and the OSU game. They were playing like one of the 5 best teams in the country.

Using this same logic Virginia was an absolute garbage in college basketball last year, I mean they had one bad game so therefore they were never any good.

USC is committing to Helton despite a 5 win season.

Indiana should go offer John Harbaugh. Just throw him 5-6 million and tell him there will be more with some improvement. How much extra cash could be made off a Harbaugh game when Indiana played Michigan? ESPN would eat that up forever.

I am sure he would love to come here after we canned his brother-in-law less than two years ago.

I'd be ecstatic for a hire like that, but I'd say the chances of that happening are less than zero.

1.  He'd be taking a big step down from the NFL to a perennial doormat.

2.  Glass wouldn't take a big boy swing like that, he'd probably hire the person that woke him up from his nap then fall asleep again.

3.  We just fired his brother-in-law.

8. Team. Playoff.

I agree with 8 team playoff. Only adds one more weekend and having the opening round around Dec 23rd will not extend the season. The ratings would be through the roof for 4 more games and it would allow a non-power 5 school in.

It would add eyeballs but not hurt the existing bowls as there are already too many and the only people that care about the Motor City Bowl, as an example, are the participating schools and channel surfers. That won’t change because of 4 more teams in the playoff.

Absolutely. If you're #8 you don't deserve a shot, IMO. It would also be the final blow to the bowls.

There are 39 bowl games. 78 of 126 FBS teams get in the postseason. Needs to go back to the days when 6-6 wouldn’t guarantee a bowl game. If a team is mediocre, they shouldn’t be in a bowl game. Don’t reward mediocrity

Simple, don’t watch those mediocre bowl games. Let the fans of those teams enjoy 1 more game.

Wonder what the UM administration is thinking about now. They cant buy a win against OSU but can they really do any better than Harbaugh? Not sure the natives will put up with another loss to the Buckeyes.

They should be happy. They are knocking on the door. Could be way worse and Urban Meyer doesn’t have much time left.

IMO, they've had systemic issues that I can't really put a finger on going back to Lloyd Carr. OSU's recruiting has probably been a little better, but at this point, I think it's mostly mental. Almost an entire generation has passed since they last won in Columbus. They've had 8 recruiting classes this century graduate without ever beating OSU. That has to weigh on the minds of current players.
