LamarCheeks Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 OK -- I'm a uniform geek, and I'm not liking the Notre Dame all blue duds with the shiny gold numbers. Just doesn't look very Notre Dame-ish. str8baller 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 ASU would have deserved to lose for handling that last minute so horribly. Just run the damn ball and score. Quote
DChoosier Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 A couple of things have gone our way since the loss today but bummer that PSU won. Oklahoma beating Bama would make me feel a lot better about our playoff chances. Go Sooners (never dreamed I would say that). southsidehoosier and str8baller 2 Quote

BtownStrength Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 A damn strong start from ND. We're probably going to have to pin our hopes on Oklahoma tonight. Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Auburn owning A*M so far. BTW, there are some weird scenarios in the SEC where Texas A&M can get to the SEC title game despite losing to Auburn and having three losses overall. str8baller 1 Quote

TheWatShot Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Went on youtube and two of the suggestions were oddly similar to what went down today: OSU running a fake punt while up 49-10 against Rutgers and BYU being gifted multiple opportunities at the end of a game when fans had rushed the field. SMU has clinched the ACC title berth. The other ACC team will either be Miami or Clemson. Miami has the inside track since they control their own destiny. Miami plays their final game at 8-3 Syracuse. If the Hurricanes win, they will play SMU in the title game; if not, Clemson will play SMU. Clemson's last game is non-conference against South Carolina. SMU's only loss was an 18-15 loss to BYU. And while they have a couple of wins that were ranked 16 and 22 when they played them, they have not beaten anyone currently ranked in the top 25. IMO, SMU and Clemson can only make the playoffs IF they win the conference championship game. I can't imagine SMU losing the conference championship and then making the CFP. I also don't think Clemson could lose the championship game and make the CFP. The only question is whether Miami could. So for it even to be a discussable topic IMO, Miami would have to win at Syracuse next week and then the following week lose to SMU. But IMO a loss to a team that would not currently be in the CFP in their conference championship could knock them out anyway. str8baller 1 Quote
