Words simply can't describe my heartfelt gratitude to the NCAA in making a crucial and critical change in the on field appearance of college football players.  Losing its a$$ in court almost every day you'd think the NCAA might have bigger issues to worry about.

The NCAA will mandate that players must cover up their skin from the waist down, similar to the NFL rules. This will come into effect immediately for the 2026 season

I guess they don't want all those viewers getting all hot and bothered seeing stomachs.  Stuff like this is kinda stupid.

So long as they ban refs from wearing smediums cuz we have to see that they got their bench press reps in.

Here's a link for reference. Proposed Rule Changes

The dress code rule is absurd. They must of been upset with Ponds' look. lol.

I like the fair catch rule and wasn't aware that rule was not in college football. I just assumed it was. It's one of those bizarre rules that makes coaches look like geniuses when applied.

Targeting. Man, it 100% needs tweaking. It's good they're trying to do just that.

Say what you will about the NCAA but they're not afraid to tackle the hard hitting issues like this one. Well done, NCAA.

Puns intended.

It would be kinda funny if a player sued the NCAA so they can wear their jerseys however they want.  Just to annoy the NCAA.  Maybe some lawyer will do it pro bono for the love of the game (game being taking the NCAA to court).

Definitely a red flag if your athletic dept writes a whitepaper.

Yep, Louisville can't keep up. I would have thought they had more funds, but talking to several alumni with connections, they say they were middle of the pack in the ACC last year in terms of football spending. They did increase fundraising for this year, but still have trouble competing with top of conference and certainly not anywhere close to Big Ten or SEC schools.

From what I understand the ACC tv deal is structured in such a way that there are winners and losers. Schools like Wake Forest and Boston College see less compared to Clemson and Miami. I think it's a new revenue-sharing model where incentive payouts happen based on tv ratings and performance. If I were pulling any strings I'd do what FSU did and threaten to leave the conference with the hopes of either the Big Ten or SEC welcoming the Cards. UofL would be a nice addition to either conference and the ACC would take a pretty big hit with them leaving.
