The only people I could see being remotely interested in this shirt are people who did undergrad and grad school at 2 / 3 of these schools. But even in that pool of people... can't see these exactly flying off shelves lol.

NDSU to the Mountain West is awesome. Not sure if they’ll make it year one, but I’d put the farm on them competing for a CFP spot this season. Will be fascinating to watch.

Aren't they ineligible for bowl games/CFP 1st year unless they run out of bowl eligible teams?

I thought the CFP played by a different set of rules than the bowl system, but you may be right. It’ll be mighty awkward if we hit November and they haven’t lost yet. 

And if true, they won’t be eligible until their 3rd year in FBS which is a joke.

JMU went through this during Coach Cig's final year (2023 season) there. They were in their final year of a two-year transition from FCS and at one point was 10-0. GameDay showed up game 11 against App St. and that's where I learned about the rule. I think they ended up playing in a bowl due to not enough bowl eligible teams. If NDSU ends up unbeaten it will absolutely create a discussion but ultimately I think the NCAA will deny them. It's a dumb rule if you ask me.

There are two kinds of college football "stars". There are guys like Mendoza, Cooper, Sarratt, etc who played their allotted 4-5 years of eligibility (and some who leave before they've exhausted it) and want to prove themselves at the next level... and the hacks like Pavia, Chambliss et al who may not be able to make it at the pro level, so they want to keep milking the NIL cow.

And the NCAA has neutered itself to the point that it can't stop the madness.

He was granted by a Mississippi court which has to be quite lopsided to the Ole Miss side.  You would have to think that the NCAA will push this up the system.  What is the reasoning behind the 6th year?

Nevermind, this answered my question, but a 6th year on the basis that it will improve his chances at getting a second contract in the NFL?  Whatever. He sat out his second year and got the 5th, but wouldn't that have been the basis for the 5th?
