bhaggard89 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Not sure I was expecting Troy to have a better summer league than Yogi. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Hoosierfan2017, Class of '66 Old Fart, Crimson and Cream and 2 others 5 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Didn't get to watch any summer league games. Whats the deal with Yogi? Numbers didn't look that great. Really thought he would impress here. Quote

He wasn't on a very good team. He wasn't as aggressive as usual either. When he was he did well. He just looked nervous the whole time to me. Popular Post jtheo66 Posted July 22, 2016 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2016 Yogi just agreed to a free-agent deal with the Nets, according to the Vertical Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ThompsonHoosier, Stuhoo, HoosierAloha and 8 others 11 Quote
Dalton26 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Happy for him. I'm honestly really shocked though I figured the Lin pick up and poor play in the summer league would've done him in. Hopefully he takes this chance and runs with it WayneFleekHoosier, mdn82, HoosierAloha and 4 others 7 Quote

jtheo66 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Will be hard to get playing time at first, though. Nets have Jeremy Lin, Greivis Vasquez, Shane Larkin, and Donald Sloan at the PG position. Possibly Isaiah Whitehead if they want him to be play some PG, too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

BGleas Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 It's still partially guaranteed. This deal essentially guarantees him an invite to training camp and gives his NBADL rights to Brooklyn. I would say he's still a long shot to make their NBA roster. Rooting for him though! Would love to see him wow them in camp. mdn82, HoosierAloha, IUsafety and 3 others 6 Quote

IUfan_Charlie Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 He is definitely not going to be on their roster next year unless some of Brooklyn's guards get injured. He will however be making significantly more than the D-League max salary of $25,000. jtheo66, mdn82, HoosierAloha and 1 other 4 Quote

LIHoosier Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I watched some of the game while he played. Looks pretty good on the offensive end distributing and getting his own shot. Still a little shaky on the defensive end but everyone on the Nets is so I don't know how much of it is him. He did draw a charge on a drive to the hoop; showing good lateral movement. Mike Breen and Walt Frazier(Knicks announcers) talked about him some between whistles with Walt even giving some rhyming superlatives. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
