IU Basketball: Who is leaving? Who is staying?

Recommended Posts

It's what I was told. Hopefully it proves to be wrong..

How connected is your source? Like others, if I'm not guaranteed lottery I wouldn't hire an agent. I'm not sure of Bryant's situation though, maybe being a first rounder is what he's needed to hear in order to declare and hire an agent. I really hope he is back in candy stripes next season but regardless best of luck!

In my opinion, Troy leaving isn't necessarily a bad thing. Talented yes. But I don't think he will ever live up to his talent.

I agree. A frontcourt of OG, DD, and TB would be top 3 in the country. A senior Williams would be nice to have but I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep if he were to decide to go pro. I wish him the best of luck and I hope he has success. Im just really excited about our frontcourt next year with or without him. Juwan Morgan is going to be monster for us as well. Major mismatch, being able to handle and shoot the ball really well. Swiss Army knife.

Add Hartman as the glue and experience to that front court along with a possible grad or JUCO transfer. We could actually be a legit two deep, without much drop off, next season.

The one thing that scares me about Bryant is this years draft is probably weaker than next years.

Yeah, idk. They say that every year though. Good players keep rushing to the D league diluting college talent. Not sure next year will be any stronger. Time will tell.

As someone smart once said. Players should be worried about which NBA player roster spot are they going to take vs. being scared of an incoming freshman being better than them. If you are worried about that you might not be NBA material anyway.

My concern with TB is his biggest ? is his athleticism and unorthodox movements. That may never really change.

So you have him coming back?

Helps that Stephen Zimmerman from UNLV declared and is hiring an agent.  More big man competition in the draft although I'll admit that I have no idea how the NBA would compare the 2 players.

Also Diamond Stone appears headed to the draft so again, how does the NBA compare Bryant / Zimmerman / Stone plus any other big men who may be available?
