Garry Harris was a casualty of the over sign, wasn't he? I thought at the time everyone believed he would be a Hoosier if there was a scholarship open.

They would of found a spot for Harris if he truly wanted to come. Izzo started recruiting him in the 8th grade and even went to his football games in high school.

Pretty much, although he knew there was a spot for him if he wanted it.

I still think Remy Abell prevented us from landing Gary Harris, he didn't want to be the oversign.

Abell was the year before in 2011 and was a late addition.  Gary Harris was 2012 and would have been the oversign.

I concur. I do believe the Abell commit hurt the chances of landing Gary. It was a huge loss for sure

I liked Remy, but I also believe CTC shouldn't have signed him when Gary Harris was still in play. You have to be wise in how you handle an oversign situation.

This Gary Harris talk needs set straight. Remy had practically nothing to do with Gary picking MSU. 

He picked MSU because Izzo is a better coach, MSU had a better program and they had been recruiting him longer. 

In his own words, months before he made a decision, he broke down the schools recruiting him. He had nice things to say about them all. However, what he said about MSU was very telling. He simply stated they were like family. From that moment everyone paying attention should have known where Gary was going.

"My wife and I ran into her dad in Nashville last month he is a Nashville cop . To sum it up we told him where we was from and he says really my daughter and I went on a official visit to iupui the week previous. He goes I'm sure you have heard of Darius Garland I was like yes well that's my daughters boyfriend . He goes I'm not a fan of it just being a typical dad . He finished with if she commits to iupui I believe he will goto Iu to be close the her.
That's the story we will see what happens hopefully we get him over Robert Phinsee"
