My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Darius at Mother Bear's last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

I really try not to get into the ebbs and flows of recruitments but I agree. I don’t think he would announce right before IU’s first game against a ranked opponent. Won’t all of IU’s media be at the game too? Vandy doesn’t have a game that night, either. I just don’t see it.

Countless Indiana prospects have announced at their high school for schools other than IU over the past two decades but here we go with "it's at his tiny private high school so it must be Vandy". Spare me

Yea I️ don’t get people freaking out about this. Making announcement at your school is very common practice. When I️ was in school they used to do it on our library and students could get passes from the player to allow them to go to the signing. This isn’t a big deal.

So the announcement could still be on ESPN, we play on ESPN that night against Seton Hall. Could be a nice intro to the entire fan base just before the game.

As conspiracy theories go, this is both more pleasant and more plausible than the idea that IU is doomed because he's announcing at his high school.

Thanks; this seems right. The ITH schedule is wrong. I'm sure he wouldn't announce on BTN but FS1 at least seems possible.

I'm really not stressing.  This is only the beginning of what will be a lot of great years at IU.  Check back in a couple years and this IF he chooses Vandy won't mean jack.  We've got a coach most would die to have.  Great kid, great player, but not gonna treat this as defining moment for the future of IU.  Would love to have him but many more to come in the future.
