(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Recommended Posts

Has anyone checked this insider's batting average lately? Rabjohns tweeted a few minutes ago Bill Self will be in New Albany to visit Romeo tomorrow.
Is it the same insider who had garland coming to Iu? As I've said before my third cousin is a well connected insider.

I always prefer good news over bad news :-)

It's a more crushing end. If it's true good news then yeah, but if it's hogwash sunshine it ends badly.

I honestly don't know what to believe with this Romeo recruitment but I certainly have my doubts and also have some hope.

It's warpy, if people know who that is.  Yeah he also called Garland to IU which is why I was hesitant to get excited but he sounds pretty confident.  Another dude chimed in and said the same thing too so it's better than bad news.
I guess really anyone can claim to be an insider and throw out a prediction. Eventually you get one right if you keep at it. However, I trust nobody who predicted garland to iu. Sorry Hoosier guy!!!

My one enormous sign of hope is we have a glaring need for a SG and have had ample opportunity to seek one out if we thought/knew we were out of it.

That tells me the staff is confident.

I guess we could argue that Anderson/Hunter can fill that void in their eyes and that may be true.

Good point.  Thing to keep in mind too is that he said IU leads, not that it's a done deal or anything.

Yeah, how many more games could we have won if we had a shooting guard that could actually shoot?

I can think of a couple huge ones.

Romeo has to see this.

Anchors down loses again. The anchor is off the rope and of the bottom of the ocean. They can't sell him on drews coaching this season.

Two of the top three current threads on the Vandy message board:
  • "Is Coach Bryce Drew that bad?"
  • "Our home crowd is pathetic"
and...Simi Shittu's knee MRI results? Still crickets.

So anchors down starts three seniors and is still horrible! My guess is on Saturday Kentucky will have 3/4 of the fans at the vaunted vandy arena. I think the anchor is lost for the year.

Anybody else think it’s us or Kansas? This vandy team loses a lot of seniors

Nope. I say that U of L throws insane money at whomever the hottest name on the market is after the season. Said name proclaims the dawning of a new era of Louisville basketball that will be absolutely pristine in every imaginable way. He will then sell the Langford's on Romeo being the face of the new era. And the Langford's, who pretty obviously wanted their kid there from the jump, bite on it immediately, use that argument as the rationale for keeping Romeo as close to home as possible, and in a whirlwind courtship, he commits to Louisville.
