(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Recommended Posts

The fact that Rabjohns and Bozich have been acting the way they have towards Vandy is another one of those tea leaves imo.

I can never remember a recruitment like this one in that sense .

And honestly if he picks Vandy, I don't care. It's just plain silly.

Why you saying this? Just what the're saying on twitter and such?

Yeah, obviously doesn’t matter and they know just as much as you and I, but still seems similar to the Garland recruitment in that sense. I still think we get Romeo but ya never know.

Kinda shocked no one has flipped the positive sign switch about Mr. Langford saying another possible IU visit would be to tour the campus and facilities, not a game. I’d take that as a positive sign.....

Tim Langford seems too smart to me to sit there and watch a Vandy game in person and then let his son pick that school over IU. Especially given all the “business decision” comments.

This is just me, but if I was being recruited by both Archie and Drew, something about the way Drew is going about this with Romeo would make it kind of unappealing to me compared to how Archie is handling things. Drew, in a goofy way of putting it, seems to be going way over the top with his tongue hanging out drooling over Romeo in somewhat of a begging and pleading manner trying to get him, trying to persuade him as much as he can, while Archie just seems confident, and cool as a cucumber with the whole thing. Archie puts off having the mindset of "you know what, we definitely would love to have you, we would be an outstanding team if you joined us and created your own special legacy, but at the same time, i know what i'm capable of as a coach, I know what we have coming in, and we're going to be just fine without you if you choose to go elsewhere." That would be so much more intriguing to me than to commit to a coach who just seems to be annoying and a hound about the whole thing. It just really makes it look  like Drew is thinking "please, please, come here so you can make me look like a better coach than i actually am".

I like this post. Good job rocker!

I would add to that, that Garland’s attitude about it seems to be mirroring his future coach, and the IU recruits attitudes seem to be mirroring Archie’s approach.

Just by some of Garlands quotes (openly saying he’d be mad if Langford doesn’t join him) he seems just as desperate as Drew. Like he knows going there was a huge mistake if he can’t get Langford to join him.
