Ajwhitis Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 I'm not saying he's coming to IU. I don't know, you don't know, quite frankly, he probably doesn't even know yet. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 I just don't get the immediate cliff jumping as if he said "yeah I'm gonna go silent verbal tomorrow". Not immediate for me. I've been solid and consistent that IU wouldn't get him unless we played the game. Too risky for Archie and IU. But Sean can dance in the dark and make noise in the post season. Nick_Bragg13 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 All the chatter and inside scoops from people was a bunch of bullcrap. Romeo said in the interview that he has watched Vanderbilt play a lot this season, even though they suck. It’s pretty clear he is leaning towards them. What? You’re better then this. We have no clue if any of the inside info is crap or not based on him saying “yeah I’ve got the chance to watch Vandy a lot” ...... come on manSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Ajwhitis, pumpfake and lillurk 3 Quote
IUHAHN81 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Tim Langford already saying another trip to Indy could happen is a good thing to me. Even tho Vandy is tomorrow, they've already thought about Indiana again. Sounds good to me. ALASKA HOOSIER, jonz44 and A.j. Nigh 3 Quote

I think it's a pretty safe comment and doesn't really point to Vandy too much. If he said Archie "would be fun to play for", would people be like "sweet! he's coming to IU!"...not necessarily. True, but, I backed it up several times, and I didn't hear "would" on any of them. I heard will. MikeRoberts, cljones1979 and Iugradman 3 Quote

Popular Post IUHAHN81 Posted February 17, 2018 Popular Post Posted February 17, 2018 I find myself sitting here thinking about how I will feel if he doesn't come to IU. I noticed I had a little smile/smirk on my face when thinking about this because I realized that we have a coach now that IS going to win a TON of games and get plenty of great recruits after this is long over with. IU is gonna be awesome again regardless. That put a smile on my face for sure. SlamaJamaSisley, jonz44, reconmkd and 12 others 15 Quote

And I'd be shocked if something shady wasn't discovered at some point. You just don't get 3 top ten players to a school liked vandy. It's never been done before. It would be like Minnesota getting Tre Jones to stay home and have 2 top ten players join him. It far fetched.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk IUHAHN81 and pumpfake 2 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 It's interesting that the $EC sucked for so long then the conference commish said we need to be better as a whole. They went out and got slimy coaches and started landing top recruits. Then all the FBI stuff hits. Auburn, Alabama, kensucky, LSU, and now Vandy all are sketchy at best. The NCAA won't do crap about it because they'll lose money. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners MikeRoberts, Fkfootball1, Iugradman and 2 others 5 Quote

Popular Post Stuhoo Posted February 17, 2018 Popular Post Posted February 17, 2018 I'ma gonna get in before the post-Vandy visit articles: All - be prepared to read and hear about the Langford family's post-Vandy visit comments. These comments will include: "Loved the atmosphere." "Impressed by Coach Drew. He really cares about his players" "Coach Drew showed me how I would fit in with his offense. I can really see how that would be a great fit for my style." "Vandy has great players coming in next year. Can see how we could be a super-class." "The tour of the campus, academics, and facilities was first class." If I am already able to 'pre-quote' the post-visit interviews, you guys can be sure that they don't mean all that much; largely that: The Langford's will be gracious guests who will be treated very, very well. They could all be true or not; the player and his family will assess all of their options and try to make the best, most informed decision based on all factors. This visit will contribute to the information set needed to weigh those factors. Period. In other words, in advance: stop freaking out and jumping to rash conclusions! ;) Post game interview with Romeo on Inside the Hall: http://www.insidethehall.com/2018/02/16/video-romeo-langford-talks-senior-night-win/ Sounds like ol Wormtongue Drew has convinced Romeo. I don’t get the appeal of putting ******* Vanderbilt on the map. Nobody cares there. I heard that, and doesn't sound too goodSent from my SM-G955U using BtownBanners mobile app That **** is going to get Romeo to friggin’ Vandy. IU should have never recruited that kid. It's sad but I have to agree. I wish we played then next year.Sent from my SM-G955U using BtownBanners mobile appI have never rooted harder against ANY team as I will against Vandy next season with Romeo. Not any UK team. Not any Purdue team. Sadly Garland and Romeo will be a dynamic backcourt that would otherwise be fun to watch. Please no one act surprised when it's official like the Cleveland fans did when LeBron announced he was talking his talents to Miami or Illini fans when Cliff Alexander announced. It's been very obvious all along what it would be. He has been playing us though and I'm definitely rooting for Floyd Central. Tak42, Iugradman and Bowhunter 3 Quote
