I guess my grandpa is at Romeo's game today and said he's scored 16 in the span of 3 minutes.

I was just getting ready to post this.

No but this delusion that these freshmen are going to have this instant impact gets played out every recruiting class. It rarely pans out except for the top 20 guys. Even Victor and og had marginal first years. They were not instant impact

OG absolutely had instant impact.

Check the stats; it took until conference play for him to become a role player. The NCAA tourney that year was his coming out party. Unfortunately, he didn't get to be a 30 minute/game all world player that he could've been while at IU.

Anyone including Romeo who can come in and make a jump shot or a 3 more than twice a game is an "impact player" to me after what we've lacked THIS season.  Just sayin.  :/

Yeah. We are maybe the worst shooting high major team I can remember watching. From every level. Layups, Mid range, 3, FTs. Not good at any level of shooting.

I watched every game that season. I know the story. He was impactful as soon as he started getting meaningful mins. So.. if you make an impact your FR year, how can you not be categorized as instant impact?

Depends on your definition of instant. Whether that's becoming a part of the rotation, being a consistent starter, or being the guy like Bagley or Trae Young this year. OG definitely became a part of the rotation in 2016 but wasn't a definite starter or a focus of our opponents.

Again.. if Anderson has the impact that OG did his FR year, it'll be HUGE.
