(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Recommended Posts

Okay first of all I as well as others never said he was a done deal. I admitted I was fed misleading things, but when it came to Garland I always tried to warn people. Sorry to have let ya down but I don't recall saying IU had Garland wrapped up. The almost committing after HH a lot of people assumed not just me or anyone else for that matter. I get being excited for a recruit and all but it isn't life or death man. Getting too attached isn't a good idea. I know you keep saying you're not but sounds like you are. Not trying to take a shot at ya just some advice man. Also if you read some of my post on Garland I admitted I was hearing from pro IU guys so take it with a grain of salt. Romeo as any kid is a completely different recruitment. Just let it play out.

They aren’t even worth a response at this point tbh. We should just let them wallow in their own misery.

I was not singling you out. It just makes it hard to be optimistic after that let down. I'm just going to concentrate on the team now.

My god.....no recruit is worth emotional distress. If he comes awesome but if not that's ok too. I can guarantee you this much, that next October there will be a schedule that comes out indicating which teams IU will play and it will also show you which guys WILL/WANT to play those teams. That's what matters and it ain't no rumor it's a fact. Until then the best thing for your well being might just be to follow this year's schedule and the guys playing it. Just a little friendly advice for any of you getting upset about recruiting.

We have one of the best coaching staffs as a whole in the country as far as experience on many levels.  We will win more than we'll lose in the game of recruiting.  This whole thing is just getting started.  We hired a scrappy lil bulldog as a coach.  He will get it done.

I know that comment is meant for me too. It’s not backtracking. It’s called reality. Can’t please everyone. Some of you just like to argue for no reason though

He's not arguing for no reason. He's calling you out for backtracking (which is a 1000% reality in this case). Can someone please remind me how to block / ignore people's posts on here?

Block/ignore me if you want. You have the ability to do so

Something just dawned on me - the events of the past couple of weeks with Shittu & Garland have shown that the belief that kids make a decision based on facilities is way over blown.  Vanderbilt's gym is garbage compared to even the average Big Ten venue.

Secondly, the more I think about it, I kind of feel that the players that VU just signed will actually make RL more likely to come here if he really wants to be the #1 option and boost his draft stock.  Perhaps wishful thinking, but I think it does have some merit.
