Popular Post Walking Boot of Doom Posted February 3, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2016 The Bob Cousy Watch List was shortened to ten players on Monday, and included Yogi Ferrell. I ranked the six players overall, with Yogi at #2 behind Kris Dunn. Can Yogi pull it off? It'll be tough to beat the performance of Dunn this year, but a strong performance to finish the season against some of the better teams in CBB should help. Bryan Medema Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I'd be interested in seeing win shares between them all. Quote
Brass Cannon Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Yogi does have a better assist to turnover ratio and scores more points more efficiently. Dunn has him beat on rebounds and steals. It might be my preference for wanting a guy who takes really good control of the ball, but I would almost give the edge to Yogi. Hes a better scorer and is more efficient at the running the offense for other people to score. I would also point out that with our offenses superiority in the 3 point category its fairly likely that Yogis assists have resulted in more points. And I for one have never believed all assists are equal. LockdownD 1 Quote

Miller'sTheMan Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Yeah I can't say i've seen a lot of Dunn this year but those stats are far from overwhelmingly in his favor. Quote

I'm not sure when voting happens for the award, but if Indiana can keep winning, I think Yogi could beat out Dunn. Yogi is the ultimate key to our success, and it will become more apparent to the rest of the sports world as we win more relevant games. LockdownD 1 Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 Chances Melo bolts this year? Projected as the 20th pick to Charlotte on DraftExpress. I'd imagine that'd be enough for him to bounce. WayneFleekHoosier, Bobman1 and Class of '66 Old Fart 3 Quote

Some might argue he had great talent already in place, but this team was looking to go off of the rails early after Maui and Duke. I've been a critic in the past because when things go bad, you have to look at the top. Conversely, when things are going great...you have to look at the top as well. Glad to see him get recognized for the efforts. HoosierHoops1, JaybobHoosier, colonel06 and 2 others 5 Quote

theriverpilot Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 And slightly off topic, but Diamond Stone as FOY? Over Happ? Not sure about that one and Bryant not even mentioned in the convo. Interesting. I didn't think he'd beat out Happ but at least deserved to be mentioned along with Stone, Happ, and Swanigan. southsidehoosier 1 Quote

biteoftheapple Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Bryant owned Stone yesterday! I would not go that far, Bryant had 1 more rebound, Stone scored more. But, IU owned Maryland colectively. ALASKA HOOSIER, WayneFleekHoosier, Naturalhoosier and 2 others 5 Quote
