Yogi does have a better assist to turnover ratio and scores more points more efficiently.  Dunn has him beat on rebounds and steals.

It might be my preference for wanting a guy who takes really good control of the ball, but I would almost give the edge to Yogi.  Hes a better scorer and is more efficient at the running the offense for other people to score.

I would also point out that with our offenses superiority in the 3 point category its fairly likely that Yogis assists have resulted in more points.  And I for one have never believed all assists are equal.

As of 2/3/16

Yogi 4.8
Dunn 3.5
Trimble 3.7
Morris 4.1
Moore 3.5
Ulis 4.0

Thanks, LIHoosier! Important stat to consider.

I'm not sure when voting happens for the award, but if Indiana can keep winning, I think Yogi could beat out Dunn. Yogi is the ultimate key to our success, and it will become more apparent to the rest of the sports world as we win more relevant games.

CBS named Tom Crean as the B1G Coach of the Year, and Yogi Ferrell to their First Team All-B1G.

No other Hoosiers were recognized as award recipients.

Easy to say since I'm obviously an IU fan, but Crean earned this.  Some might argue he had great talent already in place, but this team was looking to go off of the rails early after Maui and Duke.  I've been a critic in the past because when things go bad, you have to look at the top.  Conversely, when things are going great...you have to look at the top as well.  Glad to see him get recognized for the efforts.

And slightly off topic, but Diamond Stone as FOY?  Over Happ?  Not sure about that one and Bryant not even mentioned in the convo.  Interesting.  I didn't think he'd beat out Happ but at least deserved to be mentioned along with Stone, Happ, and Swanigan.
