WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Notes. Michigan St, Duke, UK, UCLA dominate. Kyle Guy.... Wow. TJ Leaf! We recruited Bridges, Guy? (Hardly), VJ King, Jarett Allen, Leaf. Rawle or Thon could be our default McDAA of the class. Quote
Alford Bailey Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I didn't know Guy was burger boy quality. That hurts a little. Quote
HoosierTrav Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Wow congrats to Kyle Guy! Kid is a STAR!! Quote
HoosierTrav Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I'm shocked that people are shocked at Guy's selection. Has proven that he is elite against elite competition for the last 2 summers. He will be a star at UVA. He's the kind of Indiana boy that would have left IU or Purdue a legend. MikeRoberts 1 Quote
BGleas Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 It's a huge problem that IU never even seemed to really be in this recruitment either. I'm shocked that people are shocked at Guy's selection. Josh Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 There's going to be some serious creaning at UK next year to fit the new McD AA's with only one graduating senior and no locks for the nba. Quote

Uspshoosier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 It's a huge problem that IU never even seemed to really be in this recruitment either.i believe they were in it but like Purdue, butler, and notre dame, iu focused on higher ranked players in Indiana at that time (Gordon). Guy has stated in interviews one reason he committed to Virginia was they didn't make him feel like a 2nd or 3rd option. When he committed he was a low 4 recruit to his credit and hard work he turned into a 5 star McDonald's All American and made the local teams look bad for not targeting him higher. Quote

And kudos to Virginia being able to identify the best talent in the state of Indiana all the way from Virginia. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Iu offered earlythey offered Eron Gordon early as well who was rated higher at that time. Offering early is fine but prioritizing Gordon after that initial offer turned out to not be the right decision in my opinion Quote
Jam Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I don't know about how offers are prioritized. We also offered Jayson Tatum, Harry Giles and others early. They obviously did not reciprocate interest. Didn't know if Guy was in that category. Quote
