KelleyHoosh Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Fantastic pick up. Can't be understated. Goes a loooong way in making us more competitive come 2016. Pull Brown/Alkins/Thon in the spring and we can really get some momentum rolling for the future barrettballer 1 Quote

KingPG21 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 But were not lottery picks, were they? I mean with Cody it depends on what you look at. I know some viewed him as a late lottery coming out as a freshman, others late first. Then again no one thought he was a top 5 pick...... most still don't Quote

GloryDays Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Welcome aboard Mr Davis. Now I can relax and get back to matters at hand.Putting venison in the freezer.. Go Hoosiers! ALASKA HOOSIER, Hovadipo, thebigweave and 2 others 5 Quote
KelleyHoosh Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 If TB stays we will have 4 Bigs with some skills. OG and Juwan. I think the plan for OG is to transition into a wing. Still, more front court depth than we've had in a while as OG could obviously offer some play there GloryDays, Kepner and scots07 3 Quote

Kepner Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 But were not lottery picks, were they? Cody was a lottery pick. Vic was a lottery pic. Marcus Smart was a project high lottery pick after his freshman year and chose to come back. It happens every year that players choose to come back after great seasons. Its not just set in stone that players will leave after a great year. Heck last year Kris Dunn from Providence was considered by all as a lottery pick and he surprised everyone by deciding to go back to school. Jacob Poeltl from Utah was projected as a mid first rounder by all the draft experts and he decided to come back. There are multiple examples Quote
Popular Post Hovadipo Posted November 12, 2015 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2015 Jeff Borzello ✔@jeffborzello With De'Ron Davis in the fold, Indiana now has the No. 15-ranked recruiting class in the country. Joins ESPN 100 Curtis Jones, Grant Gelon. Crimson and Cream, IUsafety, Bobman1 and 6 others 9 Quote
Hoosiers219 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 In all likelihood, the De'Ron Davis commit means that in the 2016 2017 season the Indiana Hoosiers will have a front corner of Thomas Bryant and De'Ron Davis. This is without question the best frontcourt that Tom Crean has had his disposal since he took the reins for the Hoosiers. Now, with Bryant and Davis, doesn't this make Brown and even Alkins want to sign a NLI with the Hoosiers. Think about a 2016 class with Brown and Alkins and I'm not talking scholarship numbers, it would provide a tremendous class with little to no drop off. We would be reloading rather than rebuilding as they like to say. Reloading is what needs to be the norm. Strong showing this year and strong recruiting class keeps the momentum in our favor. Note to players, staff and fans alike: lockdown and win! JaybobHoosier, ALASKA HOOSIER, Lt. John McClaine and 1 other 4 Quote
