I am not trying to be negative but a legitimate question..... When do recruits typically sign a LOI? How binding is a LOI vs Verbal?

My concern is if he is serious (and it wasn't just lip service) about Coach Crean's development plan being a big factor in his decision what happens if Crean is not here next year (not stating either way, just what if)?

I know with a verbal it can change at any time. If he signs a LOI and then there is a coaching change he could still ask to be let out correct?

He'll be locked in as soon as he signs his LOI.. If Crean leaves or is booted and he wants a release, he can be granted that. But I don't think we'll have to worry if Crean puts a good class together.

Verbal is like a HS girlfriend saying she will be with you forever. The early signing period is in November and is binding unless the school releases the player. Unless in the LOI it states player is released upon coaching change it is up to next coach. But that is rare for coach coming in to make player stick.
