Losing both players isn't necessarily the end of the world.  DD didn't play at all last year and to be brutally honest none of us knows just what kind of contribution he could make next season coming off the injury he sustained.  And (in my opinion) Hanner's contributions weren't anything to get overly excited about.  We do lose front court depth that we thought we had with Bryant's arrival but I think we'll get a bigger contribution from TB as a freshman than what we'd have gotten from HMP as a senior.   Also, I think Holt is going to show a lot of improvement.  We'll be weak in the middle again - assuming CTC doesn't pick-up a grad transfer or JUCO but if we can shore up our godawful defense that would relieve a lot of pressure.

Too bad Max left.

I'm sorry Max left as well, but realistically, the same players he had to compete against for minutes last year would be his competition again this year plus 3 new freshmen (yes, I know he wouldn't be directly competing with TB for minutes).  For Max, it probably was the right decision although had he stayed he would have gained some additional game experience in preparation for the 2016-2017 season when by transferring all he can do is practice.

We lost 6.8 ppg and 4.3 rpg and a below average defender today.  Our team IQ just went up.  Hanner never reached the level we all expected.  Now we get to see Holt with more minutes.  If we can get Maker in December and another graduate transfer, we might be better off.

I wouldn't have been disappointed if Hanner had left instead of Stan or Max.

I never thought we wouldn't play 3 guards this year, but now the inevitable is doubly inevitable.

Starters
Yogi
Troy
JBJ
RoJo
Bryant

Bench

Colin - 6th man
Z3 - same role as last year
Holt - same role as last year

Juwan & OG- ? Can either come in and fill a role? The opportunity is there for the taking young fellas.

MSB - crowd favorite & patron saint of the painfully awkward

Wildcards

Burton - not the type of guy you want to rely on but he didn't suck

The two guys CTC brings in because he won't hold the scholies.

I would prefer not to bring in two freshman. Any transfers who could give us some minutes up front? Any legitimate jucos? I would love to find a viable 6'8ish junk yard dog type juco.

1. Yogi
2. Blackmon
3. Williams
4. Holt
5. Bryant
6. Rojo
7. Hartman
8. Z
9. Morgan
10. OG
11. Priller

We are not as good as we were yesterday.

I hope Morgan and OG are ready to compete. We need their length on the court this year! And dang it, Crean will go small ball again.

Let's face it, Crean was going to go small anyway.  This just confirms it.
