AZ Hoosier

Blackmon Jr returning to IU

Recommended Posts

Put out a little warning shot here about a week ago. This talks been going on for some time, ie, Mulder

This may have been discussed, but I haven't seen it. If Mulder is the potential JBJ replacement, how do the two compare? I've read that Mulder is a good shooter and has a huge wingspan, but that's pretty much all I know about him, potential recreational drug use aside of course.

No no no JBJ! Just say no to the draft. Your complete lack of defense wont fly well. Too streaky on shooting. Hopefully Pops will get in his ear and get him to return and develop his game more.

He must realllly dislike Coach Crean if he is legitimately considering the NBA draft.  I can't think of any other explanation why he would give up another year at the greatest school in the country to go play in the D League or some European country. His family definitely doesn't need the money.

C'mon James, you'll get as much playing time and as many shot attempts as you want next season!  And then you can head off to the NBA and make your millions.  We all win!

He won't transfer. It's NBA or IU for one more year.

Heard the draft advisory board had 2 teams list him as a first round pick and 17 more list him as a second round pick. The rest had him Undrafted. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I feel more confident in Yogi returning than I do Blackmon.

I really want to know who thinks he is a first, right now. Have my own ideas........ Could easily be wrong

There are probably teams that thought he can possibly be a 1st rounder..but that doesn't mean that they would actually draft him in the first round. If he declares…it will be one of the dumbest decisions. He showed last year that he lacks consistency, emotion, and any inch of D. I really love JBJs game and potential but this would just be plain stupid

Not to be argumentative, but can you explain how you can say that "he lacks consistency, emotion and any inch of D" and in the same thought, follow it up with "I really love JBJs game...". That simply does not compute. You basically dissed everything about "his game" while saying that you loved it.

I am going to show 2 examples;

Harrell at L'ville uses swag.

Tim Duncan, no swag.

My choice is simple.

Harrell's swag is more like aggression, sometimes flagrant.

It's hard to see how Blackmon would ranked above 19 of these players, given his 2014-15 performance. And these are just the underclassmen declaring - it doesn't take into account seniors (Kaminsky, et al).

Right now I might put him ahead of Rozier on that list. That is about it. At least the Harrisons can play D.
