I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen did the same thing after his junior year.  He signed a lease for the following school year but ended up leaving early for the NFL.

 

I know the timeline is a little different than college basketball, but still.

My apologies to everyone.  I'm not sure what happened; probably a senior moment on my part.  I couldn't put in a specific hour of the day so it was supposed to run to midnight of the 25th but clearly it didn't.  Let's try again.

What does announcing on the last day mean? Is there paperwork that needs to be submitted along with an announcement or is a verbal confirmation all that is needed to meet the deadline?  Maybe the paperwork follows, but it would seem that there would need to be something binding on record if the deadline means anything. Someone would know if Yogi was preparing paperwork.  

 

I would expect Crean knows.  If Yogi was leaving, Crean would be visiting every available pg for 2015 he could. He should be fired if he knew Yogi was leaving and did not search hard for an immediate replacement.

I may regret posting this, but here goes...a close friend on campus mentioned that Yogi and Devin signed a lease at 10th and College (newer B'ton apartments near the square for you old timers  :wink: ) this past week for the upcoming school year.  Make of it what you will.

 

Unfortunately this is nothing but a contingency plan. Bawa Maniru signed his lease in Smallwood for his soph year. If Yogi leaves, this apt will be subleased by his replacement.
