IU Hoosier41 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Assuming the key players all stay. Who is your starting 5 for next season? PG: Yogi SG: JBJ SF: Rojo PF: TW C: BRYANT Plenty of combinations to have some fun with. Team will be scary on the offensive end, just need to see the defensive intensity pick up. swatford Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Could we potentially run some.....dare i say it...."platoons" next year? Platoon 1: Yogi JBJ Troy Holt Bryant Platoon 2: Rob Z Colin Juwan / Devin Perea It will be interesting to see if Crean sticks with the 3 guard line up CR3AMnCR1MS0N and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
ctown2grhoosier Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Hopefully it will be Yogi, JBJ, TW, Thon and Bryant. With a deep bench of Rojo, Nick Z, HMP, Hartman, Morgan, OG, and Davis! Top 5 team for sure! ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
barrettballer Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Forgot about Holt... Why? Holt is good! ctown2grhoosier 1 Quote
Hoosiernsavga Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I know that will be the starting lineup but if coach Cal had this IU team next season I think he would start TB at the 5 and HMP at his natural position at the 4. I know thats irrelevant but I would love to see the front line with TB, HMP, and Troy at the 3. The Baby Bull, DJ Candypants, GloryDays and 2 others 5 Quote

Parakeet Jones Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I would like to see TB Holt Troy JBJ Yogi RoJo as 6th man HMP in limlted minutes to spell TB Colin to spell Troy or replace him when/if Bad Troy rears his head Z3 same role as this year Morgan - maybe a few minutes Quote
ctown2grhoosier Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Why? Holt is good! Didn't do it on purpose...lol Quote
BGleas Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I know Crean will never do it, but I think the teams best chance is to play big. Use Davis/Holt at their natural 4 position and bring RoJo off the bench in a platoon with Yogi and JBJ. It will never happen though. Napleshoosier and AKHoosier 2 Quote
Me So Hornsby Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Yogi JBJ Troy Colin Bryant Edit: I think if he can come back 100%+ DD could be in for Colin at some point MikeRoberts and IU Hambone 2 Quote
JSHoosier Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I'm thinking it'll be the same as this year with one difference: Yogi Blackmon Johnson Williams Bryant Bryant in place of Hanner will help the defense because someone will be able to challenge shots at the rim, our perimeter players have to start giving a crap about staying in front of someone though. 323SGrant Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Yogi JBJ Troy Holt/Davis Bryant I don't think CTC will have this starting lineup, because he seems to want to go small. Hopefully CTC can teach them how to play strong team defense for the upcoming season. Quote
Hovadipo Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I could see a potential Yogi Jimbo Troy Collin Big Tom lineup. djsalway 1 Quote
SWEETLEMONbrown Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 What if we left Parea at the 5? Put Bryant at the 4 Troy the 3 Jbj at 2 Yogi at 1 Would having Bryant at the 4 spot give him the ball more often? Our Centers usually don't get enough touches. But I'd be fine with Yogi Jbj Rob Tw And TB Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 What if we left Parea at the 5? Put Bryant at the 4 Troy the 3 Jbj at 2 Yogi at 1 TBthis is what I want. Absolutely. Holt, Juwan, and DD can sub the 4 and 5. Rob and Z at guard. Hartman and OG at 3. Quote
Trish Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Hammer at the 5, THOMAS at the four. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
djsalway Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I think inserting either Holt or Hartman into the starting 5 would be great, moving troy to his natural position and having RoJo as a 6th man to play big minutes at the 1 or 2. We are DEEP next year, with the number 1 offensive player in the whole country possibly being our 8th or 9th man. Quote
HoosierAloha Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 What I think the lineup will be: Yogi JBJ RoJo Troy Bryant We will then wonder why our guards are wearing down throughout the season. It will be a mystery! What I would like to see: Yogi - RoJo JBJ - RoJo/Z Troy - Hartman - OG Holt/Davis - Morgan Bryant - Perea This assumes Troy has worked on his jumper enough to spread the floor. If he hasn't I would stick Hartman in the starting lineup to space the floor better than Holt could. Also, if Perea continues to work on his jumper out to 15-17 he could be inserted into the lineup to help create a + front line. jkhughes_47635, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and Never Daunted 3 Quote
