He sure does seem very good at making in game and halftime adjustments.

They hustle and play smart. I'm ok if we chose him as our next coach.

He might be better. I think that where we are and what we have endured we deserve a home run hire or in basketball terms a slam dunk.

Make no mistake, I want the homerun hire.  I want a hire that will send waves through college basketball, I want to send a very specific message "we're done screwing around", I want a coach that our rivals don't want us to keep.

 

If we could get Marshall I wouldn't be too disappointed though.  There's 17 years of data, 17 years of winning consistently, to say he's definitely better than our current coach.

I doubt we end up getting him, but I would be very excited to get him or another one of these guys that play good tough fundamental basketball. I've seen enough stagnant dribbling offense and complete lack of defense

Marshall would be an upgrade over Crean. At least his teams play defense. But I would be lying if I said that hire would excite me. Like jumping up and down screaming "We're gonna win another banner" excited.

Marshall isn't my first choice, but we are being WAY too picky if we are saying no to coaches of his calibur. If we are not getting Donovan or Stevens (and at best that's a 50/50 scenario) Marshall is probably the next most logical choice. He is a home run hire. I'm worried our fixation with Stevens is turning our fanbase into a giant entitled troll.

His teams play the type of basketball that win championships. I think if he could recruit at a higher level at a school like Indiana he would be more than an upgrade, although at this point anyone would be an upgrade.

I don't think we get Stevens, and I'm not sure that Stevens would even be any better than a guy like Marshall other than the fact that he is a Indiana native.

Yep he sure did. Heading towards another Final four in 3 years, 4 straight NCAA's, 2 Sweet 16 and 3 conference reg season championships in that same time frame leads many to want to clap along with him. I know I am. Did he shamelessly adjust his pants or give opposing players that creepy look too?

Presumably he has clean clothes, wears a coat and tie and doesn't have cow s*** on his shoes right.

 

Grant looked a little sloppy, and an affinity to the grain but all he did was win!

 

We hire the man for his strengths.  Ostensibly, winning is the hallmark here, right?
