IUBB vs. Ohio St. Post Game Thread

I may be going off old rules, but isn't every kicked ball a reset of the shot clock? Then they changed it to only reset to :14 instead, now is that rule gone?

It requires the player to actually kick (at) the ball. In this case, there was no kicking action … Yogi simply dribbled it off the O$U player's foot.

I don't think that lift that they all got in this week hurt them at all energy wise.

Blackmon maybe was the exception even though he is so laid back its hard to tell.   He looked tired in the first half with a step slow and poor defense and shot selection.  Maybe Crean gave him some Red Bull at half time as he finally woke up and realized he was play in the BIG.

IDK, jury is still out.

Rob's, Yogi's, and Jame's long range jumper is still broke. We won despite it all.

Edit- Zman slump busted a little today but he's been Broke lately too.

We have won several close games this year. That might be a good sign. Penn St will be a good test on their mindset.

True. I said we'd be 2-2 after the first four(losses to MSU and PSU). This is the ultimate trap game. After a big win, at home, a team we "should" beat and before a huge road game at Allanoy. A win here against a well coached team shows growth IMO.

1. I hope Troy stops doing stuff like that or he might go. Pray he doesn't heed poor advice.

2. Good to get a win against one of the better teams in the B1G this year most likely.

3. Impressed with Emmitt. Hasn't pouted, and it's happening for him. Wouldn't be opposed to him starting.

4. Troubling that a team with guards like this seemingly can't finish games easier. Why the hell did Hartman pick up his dribble 85 feet from the rim? You never know sometimes.

5. Yogi is gonna get to play in the NBA if he guards like he has.

6. Did not think Crean coached his best game yesterday; thankfully, OSU's coach was inferior.

7. We are finally winning some of these grind it out games. Under Crean it used to seem like we won only when we played well. We are starting to win even when we don't. That's a good sign and an indicator that this group of kids is listening.

Sure would be nice to control the game Tuesday, but without a win Penn State will be scrapping and clawing. If IU can get that one and finally pull one out at Illinois... we'd be in pretty good shape.

Wasn't the prettiest game but can't complain about a ranked win. Going to need all of those we can get with no signature wins on the schedule.

Newbill is a great player. You always have to be worried against a guy like him. Penn St isnt a world beater, but they are good enough to beat us if we dont play well. They have some talent.
