I've said it before but I don't see the athleticism. I've seen several highlight videos and I would never say, wow is that kid athletic. What am I missing?

He has length first and foremost, but with that length he has guard type skills. Effortless dunker to boot. Unique combination of size and skills are leading to the "athletic" remarks.

*plus CTC has used the Oladipo comparisons which inflates the "athletic" connections.

*OGs highlights are quite dated as he has been oft injured the past year.

You don't put up 30 points a game regularly without a considerable skill set. Remember how unimpressive Perea's high school stat lines were? I am not writing this to knock Perea, but I think it was a sign that his ability to score the basketball and handle the ball were not very developed. OG, on the other hand, is putting up big time stats and appears to have an incredible skill set. Look at the two videos I linked. In the first one, OG attacks the basket off the dribble and then almost hits his head on the rim. In the second video he knocks down a three (very sweet looking jump shot).

I believe rivals, scout, and 247 rankings are typically a pretty good indicator. However, when I see OG play, I see a top 25 player. Go ahead and call me crazy, but this kid looks like a star.

Just trying to keep us on topic.  This is supposed to be BTown Banners--not BTown Bummers.

This thread was supposed to be about OG and Morgan---not yet another Crean bashing special.

We have enough Crean bashing threads---just  trying to keep us focused on welcoming our newest recruits---a  4 star and a rising 3 star who probably ends up being a 4 star.

Now---feel free to bash Crean some more---as usual.

YES!  For the love of God let's relax everyone.  Everyone knows how you feel, but this thread is specifically about our two new signees that both offer us some size and versatility for next year.  The same people that question these recruits are the same ones that say I told you so when they end up having great games as Freshmen.  Not trying to be a d*ck, but let's just leave Crean critiquing off of one thread.

agree completely. You don't score 27 and 35 without some legit skills. Plus decent rebounding numbers. Defensive abilities are being mentioned ahead of offense too!

Boys, we got a GEM here. Go OG go!

It's hard not see some Oladipo in OG. Especially the highlight dunk above from last nights game. If he has half the competitive edge dipo has to go along with that skill set then we have a good one.

In regards to both OG and Morgan, at first glance it's glaringly obvious that they don't have the strength to compete in the B1G...yet. Coach Jackson is a great one, folks. The phsyical transformation these two will go through in their years at IU will be tremendous.

I like what we are hearing on these two----we will have to continue watching their progress.

I got criticized when we recruited OG for calling him Vic 2.0----and he obviously is not where Vic was at IU but he has similar athleticism and reminds me of what I saw when watching Vic's videos when Vic was in high school---except he is ahead of where Vic was in high school fundamental-wise----a lot to be excited about!

We need some gems!

With a team chock-full of shooters, it was the defense that stepped up for the Waynesville Tigers on Friday night in a 55-42 win over the Nixa Eagles.

The Eagles were getting Tiger Juwan Morgan into foul trouble though.
Morgan had three fouls in the first half, but it wasn't slowing down his offensive production in the first quarter. Morgan opened scoring for the game with a mid-range jumper, he added a step-back jumper and a dunk for six of Waynesville's 13 first-quarter points.

Think Juwan finished with 10 pts is all I could find.
