Dalton26 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 If you think he can't coach defense, try attending a practice sometime. Or just watch the game. You know the place where we play no defense. MikeRoberts, Crimson and Cream, jonz44 and 3 others 6 Quote

shortspacequickness Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 so why do our players look lost half the time? They just aren't picking it up? It takes a different amount of time for everyone to "get it." Just look at Duke's struggles on that end. Their defense was pretty damn good a couple years ago. He suddenly forgot how to coach defense? That makes sense to you guys? It will get better as the team gets older. It's all about communication and positioning. Young guys don't talk. And there sure as hell isn't any defensive positioning being taught to these guys at some of the schools they go to and definitely not in summer ball. lillurk 1 Quote
shortspacequickness Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Or just watch the game. You know the place where we play no defense. Did you watch his teams at Marquette? Or our team the last few years? Any jackoff can see that this teams defensive problems have zero to do with who the coach is. He has nothing to do with guys that don't have the pride to stay in front of someone. lillurk 1 Quote

Josh Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Thon won't be eligible. Plus we all know he was laughing at Crean's adjustments yesterday. Doubling over at some of the substitutions. UOOB play calls? Thon saw IUs and knew he was headed for Lexington. Bryant clearly only visited because of Chuck Martin. He can't wait to come be IUs man in the middle and lead us to a title! (He wants to come here so he can go to the NBA, not any other superficial reason...) You keep speaking as though you know Bryant and his motivations. However, you clearly do not. You have no idea what his motivations are. You're just putting a theory together that matches your agenda and trying to pass it as fact. Hoosierboy1980, Napleshoosier, MikeRoberts and 1 other 4 Quote

Dalton26 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 It's a forum. I'm not talking like I'm on a higher level. That's exactly what you're doing. You keep talking to people like they're dumber than you and they should feel privledged to read your posts. Its way past being old and its not going to continue. Plain and simple. shortspacequickness Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 then Bench said player who doesn't have pride to play D like the coach demands. That is how you get results. If u let them get away with stuff off and on the court, IT WILL CONTINUE. And it has on both accounts. That defines poor coaching!! Who would you put in? Quote

You have zero idea what has been done to take care of the problems in the program. There are maybe 3 coaches who are more known for running a ship tighter than Crean. Partially why he was hired and identified as such a great fit here. lillurk 1 Quote

There's no other reason. You don't know if he's interested in our tradition of greatness. Maybe he wants to come here now because he thinks CTC (you) will be gone. So he can play for a coach who can use a big and play so flipping D Quote

There's no other reason. Sure there are other reasons. You just refuse to acknowledge them because they don't suit your agenda. Could be: immediate playing time no competition for his spot loves the rabid fanbase loves being in a smaller town vs big loves the girls he saw/met tradition rich school plenty of national exposure great facilities ie Cook Hall .....any number of things. Not all recruits are the same or have the same motivations. HoosierAloha, Napleshoosier, LIHoosier and 7 others 10 Quote
