“Ha, suck it, Syracuse!”

-Woody

Given Syracuse and IU's 'make' percentage, seems like not shooting that many is a pretty good idea. On the other hand, Louisville is the poster child for shooting threes when they shouldn't be!

Northwestern battling on the road.    Down 4 with 50 sec to go at Penn St

Penn st wins it but I’m pretty sure Northwestern got screwed.   Looked like Barnizer tipped one in to tie it up however they called goal tending on the shot that he tipped in.  They went to the monitor and they took the goaltend away which means the tip in didn’t count either.    That hurts.

They just showed highlights during halftime, next play after that call the NW player drives baseline and just gets 2 hand shoved out with no call.

NCAA is considering 5 years of eligibility.

Reading other about it, it looks like they considered giving every sport the football redshirt rule but are looking at going this direction instead.

Probably an unpopular opinion but IMO both would be fine. The football redshirt rule for all sports obviously makes sense to me. RE: 5 years of eligibility - according to a 2021 article, the department of education found that 58% of college graduates take 5 years to earn their degree instead of 4. So that change, to me, would be more reflective of the modern college environment. I am also totally in favor of student athletes taking advantage of all opportunities to prolong their eligibility and obtain higher education. If this change leads to more athletes leaving school with masters/graduate degrees, that’s a net positive for everyone.
