MartintheMopMan Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I am sticking with my original comment, now that the Blackmon thing is cleared up. Bryant has struggled on the defensive end exactly like they said. Happ abused him for sure. Costello worked him too. Olah, I don't remember but that blurb is right. I like Bryant, but his lateral quickness, lack of hops, and youth makes for a weaker low post defender. His length is his saving grace. Clearly not all those points were scored against Bryant but he was/is our primary post defender and those players had field days. Again, conceptually you aren't wrong, but the affirmative statement made by the article is, "[Michigan State's Matt] Costello had 22 against him [on Sunday]. [Northwestern's] Alex Olah had 19 points in 20 minutes [on Jan. 23]. [Wisconsin's] Ethan Happ had 25 [on Jan. 26]." and that is factually untrue for the reasons stated. Costello had 22 points, he didn't have 22 points against him. He had 22 points against everyone who defended him. Quote

HoosierAloha Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 close game Hawaii pulled it out. The 6'11 kid looks like a matchup nightmare Jankovic, dude is a baller but sometimes he just completely disappears or gets in foul trouble. This is the first year for the new head coach. I think they could upset a team or two in the tourney. They seem to push the envelope a bit in terms of trash talk and talking to the refs. There seems to be a lack of discipline but when they're going they're going. 323SGrant 1 Quote

I never slammed a guys head into the court at 18. I'm not sure what was out of line by calling the act classless and moronic. You're on national tv you have to conduct yourself above reproach. Yeah, I mean, he didn't smoke a doobie in his room or try and scare a friend in a car while he was drunk, he stood over a player from an opposing team and slammed another kid's head into the ground. There are zero excuses for that kind of behavior. If you do that and you aren't protected by refs, then you're going to get your ass kicked while your friends nod and say "yeah, he deserves that", go try it in the hyper. mamasa, Napleshoosier and Tom White 3 Quote
