I think Tenn/Creighton in the Elite 8 will be their biggest challenge

Tennessee could be a tough matchup. Fast guards, can put up points, and athletic bigs. I just don’t trust them in March.  Of course with Purdue as their opponent maybe they cancel each other out in that department.

In a physical game where they let Edy work for position and offensive rebounds, I don’t think Creighton can compete inside. They’ve got their own big guy but he’ll be small compared to Edey. They’re capable of lighting it up outside, so anything is possible.

Tenn game will be another battle if it happens again.   First game was a battle and Tenn was up 1 at half and it was close game with 2 min to go

I think they will roll into the National Championship

I think Houston would be a tough matchup for them. I’d love if they played UConn because that might be a bigger bet for me. I don’t see a lot of opportunity for them against Uconn. There’s a few other tough games for them.

I didn’t think Utah st or tcu were any good. Didn’t take think Gonzaga (playing better tho, I guess) or Kansas were either. I said it after the draw. They got a cake walk to the E8. But remember: Purdue is only a week out from losing to a mediocre Wisconsin team. I won’t be betting on them to win the title just yet. Final Four seems likely though.

Purdue did what 1 seeds are suppose to do and dominate lesser opponents.  They haven’t done that the past couple tourneys so everyone made a big deal about them winning this year early.    Their tourney run was always going to start in the sweet 16.  I don’t care who they were playing these first 2 games they were always going to roll in Indy.  Now their tourney starts

I’m not suggesting we let go of a Painter but does anybody think if Painter would have been the coach at IU we would have stuck with him when he struggled early on?

We’ve stuck with every piece of crap coach we’ve had for way too long. Why would one that actually wins be the one we cut loose early? He missed the tournament twice in a row after completely rebuilding their program to historical standards (not as high as ours) and is an alum.  That might get you fired at Kentucky. Maybe. But almost no where else.
