Maybe but that’s a different conversation then saying IU had no hope of making the tourney last year.    They didn’t even need to go on any kind of run to make it last year.    Win home games against Sparty, northwestern and Rutgers and play they get in easily.     Sparty got in with NET 76 and 2 games over .500.    Pretty sure IU lost to Illinois in OT at home as well.

I guess I should say, a lot of fans had no hope for last year's team. Sure there was a way to get in, but there was a way in 2018 as well even with the losses to IPFW and ISU. IU fans have just lost a lot of hope and spirit for this program over the last 20 years.

IU had 0 shot of getting in the year they lost to IPFW and and ISU as an at-large    They didn’t beat 1 tournament team that year and after the first week of the season they were never mentioned in bracketology.  Last years team was in the whole year up until the 6 game losing streak

There's still lots of hope this season. 10-10 gets IU into the Tournament which was the main goal for this season. Let's go. No time to quit. Get to 10-10.

Getting in going 10-10 in conference will still depend on who the games are against and what the bubble looks like at the point in the season.    Just as good as chance to be left out then it would be to make it with only winning 3 more games.

agreed. I think 20 wins gets them in (that's counting 1 in the BTT) but I would honestly be surprised if 19 gets them in (unless they beat Purdue) with the weak non con and not a great quad 1 & 2 record.

Though it does help that Rutgers is now considered a tourney team

Everyone has a way in. That just wasn't going to win the BTT and everyone knew that.

Of course.  That’s  why I said as an at-large

Yep.  Hell, we could go 9-11, win a BTT game and get in.  We could go 10-10 and not.  One good thing is that there probably be a lot of bid stealers from low to mid major conferences cause there seems to not be many low to mids that will get in if they lose their conference tourney.  Exception is the MWC, Murray St in the OVC, maybe Loyola in the MVC and Davidson in the A 10

Nova coughed up a 4 lead late.  Don’t see them happen to often.   UConn up 1 with 5 sec to go

UConn gets bailed out.   Terrible charge call at the end of the game.  Wow

Thought I caught the end of a Big 1.o game. That was quite bad. I missed Hurley getting tossed earlier too.

Yeah that trap that caused the tie up before that was probably a foul.

just curious if anyone remembers the last time IU got bailed out like that in a home game.    I’m sure it’s happened more recent then I’m thinking but I’m drawing a blank
