Uspshoosier Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Who guards Hunter, Guy and Jerome though? Virginia isn’t going to put 100 on you, but those 3 can score. Which is why I find it odd that Bennett never lets them loose. This would be the game to let the dogs loose if you’re Bennett. Edwards would want to run and jack up shots. Let him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannershe has changed some of his offense for those guys Brey was talking about it last night on the broadcast. Very informative and little stuff non coaches probably wouldn’t notice or catch. I didn’t notice until he pointed it out. Worth a listen if you can find it on YouTube Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierAloha 1 Quote

Hillsdale87 Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Hoiberg officially to Nebraska per Rothstein. Who knows if they'll work out, but Nebraska has made back to back home run hires with Frost in football and now Hoiberg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Iugradman 1 Quote

Joe DeLow Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 These are the comments that make zero sense. They gave Miles so much time to make a successful program and saw his ceiling. Now they’re taking a shot at guy who is pretty risky in my mind. Should have immediate recruiting success with the Bulls experience though. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appHoiberg has proven to be able to take a historically terrible school and make them good. Miles was able to make them competitive. Hoiberg was also just fired by the Bulls, so...I’m sure he’ll be a good coach. Nebraska is going to be a tough sell for anyone in my mind. We’ll see. HoosierAloha Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I let Jerome handle Carsen (not Clark, he’s too little and I feel like Carsen could bully him a bit) and make sure Cline doesn’t hit a single 3 by having Hunter on him. Like you said, make Nojel and Haarms beat you. I like it. So Clark would have to guard Eifert and Guy on Eastern? I think that works. Hunter might have to switch to Eastern if he’s playing bully ball in the post. Jerome or Guy might be able to draw offensive fouls on him in the post though. Jerome or Guy could also defend Cline. Shooters seem to have a knack to guard other shooter coming off screens. My only fear is how they call the off ball screens though. I’d have Jerome and Guy flopping like crazy early and getting all over the officials until they start calling it. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Stromboli Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 My in-laws are in town. Naturally I went to the gym for a break. I'm warming up on the basketball court and there's some 25 year old kid with man-**** on the free throw line practicing his behind the back pre-shot routine like Carsen. Nauseating. hsrtxp 1 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appAny coach was going to get fired with that Bulls team. Pitino got fired from the NBA too. Great coach. Cal got fired as well. Great coach. A college coach getting fired in the NBA doesn’t mean much when it comes to college basketball. Completely different worlds. Nebraska is ready to win in basketball. They are proving that. They felt they had a good enough team to easily make the NCAA tourney this year and ended up not being good. They obviously could have thought, “well this is Nebraska so this is the best we will do” but instead put on their big boy pants and went out to hire a coach who proved at Iowa State that he could win in the middle of nowhere with Transfers at a school that’s never done anything. People will have to give him a couple years. I don’t think Miles left Nebraska in a bad place when it comes to culture of hard work and hard play. I don’t think they will be great, but I think if Hoiberg is serious about being a great CBB coach, they can be a consistent 19+ win team. As of right now, Big Ten is open in the middle as to who can claim a spot as a consistent winner. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app johnsoniu and Iugradman 2 Quote
