I can tell that kid is a headcase just from watching him play.

Andy Staples of Sports Illustrated doing a number on Kevin Stallings and Pitt in their handling of the Cameron Johnson transfer.

"A jerk/coward scenario is one in which a person pursues a self-serving course of action that is so universally unpopular that only two possible explanations exist: Either the person chose that course of action because that person is a jerk, or that person chose that course of action because that person is a sniveling coward.  Pittsburgh basketball coach Kevin Stallings apparently never received any advice about the second scenario, because he faces one now."

I'd be willing to wager a lot of money on IU finishing better than both Ohio State and Illinois.

Top 4 in the Big Ten and the sweet 16, y'all heard it here first. I think we're gonna play through De'ron and he'll have a 15 and 8 type of season.

I think he is going to struggle. He's never played big minutes and is foul prone. Knowing those things and that he has no backup, teams are going to go at him all season.

Inquiring minds want to know.  Did IU provide Colin Hartman with a similar service before he proposed on Senior Night?

I think part of that was due to him not being in basketball shape and adjusting to the speed of the game. He missed all of last summer so I think being here all summer this year can help him make that jump. He might not put up those kind of numbers but he should be able to get the fouling under control and put up double figures.

I think he'll be alright. As hf2017 said, he got a very late start.

By the time you find out you're not in college shape, it's too late to get into shape during the season. In high school he was a monster shot blocker. I think that mentality, while also being a step behind in conditioning probably led to a lot of his fouls.

Freshman bigs always seem to draw an inordinate amount a fouls. I was so worried about it before Cody's Freshman season.

I think he will be alright too, just going to struggle a bit adapting to a bigger role with way more minutes and little support at the 5. There was a prediction of "15 &. 8" that I had responded to. Those numbers are all conference type numbers and I don't see that at all. If he does 10 & 6 I will be happy and surprised

I like your optimism. If IU finishes 12th in the B1G (unless there are major contributing factors- like a meteor strike) Miller should be on the hot-seat. No, I'm not kidding. I don't expect top 3, but he has more then enough to avoid the bottom 3.

Lol I figured new coach, new attitude. In all seriousness though I fully expect a top half of the Big 10 finish. Anything worse is a Tom Crean type of result imo, and we definitely didn't hire Archie for that.
