I'd like conferences to only include the top 8 for conference tournaments. Its weird that other sports have a cutoff but basketball for some reason essentially gives out competition trophies for 4-6 teams. It'd also allow to spread out coverage and allow most of the conferences to gain some limelight instead of being tossed aside for the 11 vs 14 B1G, ACC or SEC game.

That Fresno St at Oregon game will be interesting. I know Fresno St isn’t expected to win the MWC, but they have Nate Grimes and some decent veterans. I like Hutson as a coach. Of the lower tier on your list that’s the one I am aiming to watch.

If I were those ACC teams opening with conference games, I would NOT be happy. Kansas, Duke, MSU and Kentucky probably aren't happy having to play in that Champions Classic right off the bat. But in the grand scheme of things, those games don't mean a whole lot. Every conference game is critical, and to open your season with one when you haven't even gotten your feet wet ... I wouldn't like it.

Okoro is a game time decision for Oregon tonight. If he doesn’t play that game might get interesting. Looking forward to talking hoops and bracketology with you this year

For the pure X’s and O’s geeks of the world,  St Mary’s-Wiscy is a hell of a day 1 game. Randy Bennett is destination tv for me.
