Is this the tournament for mid-majors?  I believe the University of Evansville Aces won this in 2015.

Sounds like it is a done deal just waiting for Miles to lose in the NIT. Hoiberg was just in Bloomington last week. He had some drinks at Nicks.

That would definitely be a big hire. He did a lot for Iowa State. Nebraska gives us fits with Tim Miles as coach. So Hoiberg I’m sure wouldn’t be any different.

Back when Alford was fired, Hoiberg also was linked to the UCLA job. I wonder if that's cooled off a bit. I know at the time, he said he preferred the NBA. That said, if Nebraska does hire him, it shows that they're getting serious about a sport in which they've accomplished absolutely nothing. And they can get serious about a sport in which they've accomplished absolutely nothing, why can't we get serious about football??? (BTW, that's pretty much a rhetorical question).

I’ve always kinda liked Miles. Pretty good sense of humor. I think he’s an okay coach too.

I thought this years Nebraska team should have done better though.

He had good players, All Big Ten type, but lacked depth. It’s hard to get that at a place like Nebraska.

Truth! Walton is refreshing because he makes it up on the go, rambles on about nothings, but doesn’t kowtow to anyone’s agenda. He sets his own, and he’s a decent dude!

Seems unusual they leak so quickly before NIT. I kinda liked Tim Miles.  Seemed to have a bit of Crean in em, but more in touch with it and more genuine.

I’ve never met the dude but he seems like a great person. He wants what’s best for the players, coaches, and schools. He knows what’s going on in modern college ball and doesn’t need to hide behind the ESPN script to be signed on for another year.

He would be in my top 5 to get high as a kite and listen to his stories.
