How many teams are in a quadrant? I never really got into the whole Quad 1 Quad 2 Quad 3 mumbo-jumbo.

Purdue has beaten 3 ranked teams all season. I'm pretty sure our 2013 team beat 3 ranked teams in a span of about 2 weeks.

I just googled it and found this.

"Quadrant one wins are those home games vs. teams RPI ranked 1-30, neutral games vs. 1-50, and away games vs. 1–75. For example, a home win against a top 30 team would qualify as a quadrant one victory.

A Quadrant 2 win are those at Home against the RPI 31–75, neutral 51–100, and away victories over the RPI 76–135."

It seems pretty silly to me honestly.

Makes sense to me in a math dork sort of way but I prefer the Eye test. Lol.

Yeah I feel like math people would love it haha. Who would even be the #75 team in the country? I'm trying to see how "meh" a team you can beat to get a quadrant 1 win.

Committee has always used quadrants but this year they just redefine them and put more emphasis on neutral and road wins. Ranked teams have nothing to do with what the committee views as a quality win. Regardless of it you like the system or not quality of wins will be based on rpi. Until committee goes in a different direction this is what we got

I’ve posted this a couple of times but here is a good article showing the difference between new and old system

pu will struggle in the tourney if C. Edwards struggles. They can go cold from deep and keep chucking. They can also turn it over and struggle to defend athletic teams. They're un athletic in 4 starting positions.

Roy Schmidt (clown I know) is reporting that Mark Smith is transferring from Illinois.

Said he was disappointed with the future of the program, but I don't really know what he expected this year. They weren't supposed to be that good this season and it's not like he had an impressive season himself.
