I bet the 2nd yr buyout is reasonably small making it really a 1 year contract. 

Can’t imagine you’re not right. This feels like it was done strictly to remove the interim tag for roster building purposes and it’s otherwise utterly meaningless.

Here’s definitely the thing if you’re gonna roster build by wading neck deep into the international market, you better make sure they make it to campus.

I’ll go to my grave asking this question: if you’re playing an event where you can drop a hundo, why the hell are you playing there? Just go play with the kids in the driveway across the street. Same freakin’ thing.

Gonna be quite the little mess if/when some judge inevitably grants this class a 5th year and some schools are adding guys in August or September while others can’t because they actually filled their rosters. And as gross as I find that, hey, Alexis would solve this roster’s biggest hole very, very  nicely.

Just commented on this on another thread.  Teams are allowed 15 now.  And I feel the teams that can muster an extra payday would be willing to go past 13 for some of the guys that might be eligible.  I feel they will come out of the woodwork. Also, seems like high odds of happening legally in my opinion.

If this happens I think we not only get Sam Alexis but possibly a 14th being a 5th year senior guard 3pt specialist

Not sure who you're referring to but if it's Wilkerson I think that ship has sailes. And, if the roster exceeds 13 players there are revenue sharing implications so I don't think that's in the cards anyway.

In an exhibition last night, Puredoo was in a single digit game in the fourth quarter before pulling away to win by 16 against Trinity Western, a Canadian team that was 12-12 in the Canadian conference last year. Interesting that a Trinity Western team that has one 6'7" player on their roster went to the line 6 more times than Purdoo, and Purdoo only outrebounded them 41-38.

An understated hole that losing TKR and Smith will create? Those two players got to the line for easy points a ton and their replacements will not.
