Pagoda Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Boom! UNC finding out coaches who have programs rolling don't leave to restart at places they have no ties to. I guess that alleged call MJ made to Tommy didn't seal the deal... Billy D is now up to 70% odds on this news. He would obviously be a good hire, but he's been out of the college game for some time and his titles were almost 20 years ago. I don't think he forgot to coach college ball, just saying things are a little different vs. when he was doing well in college. Quote
Jeff Flabjohns Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Not just a better contract. "Lloyd is in for the long haul at Arizona thanks to a major condition of his new deal: Lloyd will no longer report to his athletic director, Desireé Reed-Francois and will instead report to Arizona president Suresh Garimella. Lloyd's working relationship with Reed-Francois has faced serious friction in recent years due to battles of NIL and staff benefits." Pagoda and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote

So pretty much the Woody/Buckner arrangement with Dolson peering in from the outside window. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Oh, so thankful they didn’t pull this one off. I was wrong and others were right on his press conference motivations. now it gets interesting. And less depressing. Quote

I don't want to get political, but I don't believe this is the way of addressing this issue. Home Jersey and LamarCheeks 2 Quote

Doesn't go into effect until August. Plenty of time for Congress to act or courts to strike it down. Quote

He also wouldn’t be joining until after the NBA season and their NIL isn’t Duke NIL. In a conference that is 4th best at this point. Lower revenue share as well. Not sure UNC is the pinnacle anymore.
