Since the Olympics are over and baseball hasn't yet started, I just pick some random TV channel for background noise as I work.

Just happened to have ESPNU this afternoon. They're showing the "Fab Five" 30-for-30 doc. 

I've seen it a couple times, and always chuckle when Jalen Rose delivers this line:

Um, I think you're slightly overestimating your impact and taking yourself a smidge too seriously.

Tuesdays slate is loaded as usual with plenty of impact games.   Can Cincy continue its hot streak and win on the road at a Toppinless Texas Tech.   Does ucla hold home court over USC.  Can Marquette get a road win at Georgetown and improve their NET, can Missouri win a home game against Tenn.  does Miami (oh) stay undefeated after their road game at E Michigan.    We get to find out tonight

It’s Tipton, so take it for what it’s worth. But it really doesn’t sound that nuts to me at all. I’m sure BYU paid huge for Wright but I’d really like to know what UM paid for Cadeau.

Sucks the way it is, but at least you have a chance  with the right resources.  Not Sure what Indiana deems fitting.  Seems last year it was 10 plus a bump. Where does it end, with UK at 22?  How many schools can afford going to 12-15?   It’s crazy out there.

Perhaps several portal prospects "expect" $3M... and some will get that much or more. But most of them will probably end up with a significantly smaller number IMO. Don't think a ton of guys will be able to command a figure like that with there being relatively few schools that can accommodate so much for a single player. 

So many moving parts in the portal and you typically have to pay a premium to sign guys with options. Last cycle, a lot of us commented that the staff seemed very disciplined in sticking to their financial value assessments for players (ex: not landing Conwell or Dix, who visited).

Curious how aggressive we are this time around with upping our bid when it's time for best and final $ offers. Not saying that's the right or wrong move, but will be interesting how the staff approaches it.

Yes, but also Jalen Haralson isn’t playing and Duke is really that good.

Late night hoops.  BYU was down 35 at home to UCF.   BYU ended up only losing by 13.  UCF is firmly a tourney team. Probably locked it up with that win

decent line up for tonight! Always watched the big east and big ten (of course)....but I think I am gonna take a page out of @Uspshoosier book and try to enjoy other leagues as often as time allows...with our season not being the best.
