Not to pick on you, because I'm not. But before the Issues "Coach Johnson" was the responsible recruiter. After the issues "Tom Crean" did the recruiting. He's responsible, yes, just find it funny that Johnson got all the credit, until there were issues

I completely agree he currently has players that don't (haven't) listen, I'm just not of the mind that Now is the reality and those 6 years with good kids was the smoke screen.

That's the beauty of skipping town. People don't associate you with the negatives that follow

Being in a tough spot gives no one the right to say outlandish things about fans. She was talking to us directly so I'm talking to her directly. Fair is fair. She can apologize all she wants but we saw her true colors. Disgraceful

not trying to pick a fight here but if that was your kid and everyone was bashing him and talking shit about him to you wouldn't you do the same thing. he messed up and he's paying for it

In essence it really is. Disgraceful. I really feel bad for the guys that want to be a part of IU basketball. The guys that put in the work and keep their noses clean. What's left of them atleast.

It is truly a shame and major "lack of focus" when drug/alcohol use is found among players. Use can be attributed to either entertainment value or escapism. If that's the best you can do for entertainment, you are missing a whole lot of what this world offers and a review of your friends and their influence is in order.

If it is used to escape from the pressures and responsibilities of your work (in this case BB), you had better reevaluate whether you are in over your head or else buckle up to what is required of you and face the task head-on. Granted, it is easier said then done.

I have always been skeptical of "after the fact" apologies, but I am neither a fan of zero tolerance policies. I would really hate to see Stan Robinson's tenure at IU end, but he must be aware he is on the cusp of being let go.

Looming questions arise: Do the states where marijuana is now legal become the haven for drug use disbanded players? Will

legal marijuana states have an impact on the recruitment of high school players? How do school administrations apply player use policies in these states?, and most of all, "What will be the effect of performance on the court at these institutions?"

This is an interesting point. My gut reaction was "yeah, stoners will head to Colorado, Washington and Oregon".

There are restrictions on on marijuana use similar to alcohol use - namely published "standards" for intoxication levels, and age restrictions. But, apparently neither appears to be effective in controlling it’s use by college students, most of whom are in the 18-23 age range - a range that straddles the legal minimum age for consumption/use.

Obviously, we cannot begin to measure this at this point. But it would be an interesting study, for sure.

From what I understand, even in states where marijuana is legal, there are restrictions. That's especially true in states that have "medical marijuana" laws. They have pretty clear guidelines on who can and can't use it legally. How well those guidelines can be enforced is questionable though.
