ccgeneral Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Indiana University apparently will be down to a third-string quarterback for Saturday's homecoming football game against eighth-ranked Michigan State. No. 2 quarterback Chris Covington, a freshman, was scheduled to be the starter and was listed as such on the depth chart released Tuesday. His mother, Sheneesha Edwards, said her son would not play but did not elaborate. IU declined to respond to questions about injuries. Covington, 18, had a knee injury in his senior high school season and missed some practices last month, also with a knee injury. http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2014/10/15/iu-football/17310871/ Quote

jmsgws Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I think I had better go back and adjust my score for this game. Quote
ThompsonHoosier Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Not like we had much of a chance anyways but I wonder why the move? If it was injury-related, I'm sure they would have disclosed it. Our line better do a good job of protecting Zander, otherwise we might see Boudreau and/or Cameron on Saturday. Quote
Naturalhoosier Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Do we get to see Mom? :onthequiet: Hell yeah!!!! Wow. Crazy news. Wonder why administration is quiet about CC. WayneFleekHoosier, Napleshoosier and ccgeneral 3 Quote

Popular Post Hovadipo Posted October 15, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2014 I'm actually pumped now. Not sure why. I'll throw my prediction in the hat. Zander chucks for 17-21 and 275 yards. 115 on the ground. Good guys win 24-17. I'll keep that here instead of prediction league though. Napleshoosier, hoosha61, hoosierski and 5 others 8 Quote

johnsoniu Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Next man up, give em hell Zander! Thru all the crap IUFB has suffered over the years, it's about damm time we get the Hollywood script where the kid comes in and against all odds, shocks the world. That said, I hope Zander survives the day intact. Hovadipo, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, Napleshoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

The Ola Depot Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 At the Spring Game I got a picture with him and he gave me his towel and he's been my favorite player since. Been waiting for this day since April. Even more pumped for this game. Quote
KingPG21 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 So are we planning on letting him throw the ball down the field. We have a bad track record with Wilson of no doing this with our more athletic QBs. Covington made sense, but Tre could do it and it was like Sudfeld was a ton better than Tre with that Quote
