I've been a proponent of the "Thon isn't quite the highlight film you think" but damn, you guys are coming pretty hard. Thon is a one and done, absolutely, and I think TB has more of an impact but if you add Thon...no way anyone is saying a bad word about him.

Thon is one of the most intriguing recruits in years. If our options are to have him on our roster, or potentially play against him in the tournament, I'd rather have him on the roster.

Perhaps if Thon comes to IU and helps us get banner #6, the resulting euphoria will help us to again don rose colored glasses when assessing Crean's coaching ability. Hope does tend to spring eternal in Fred Glass' world. If on the other hand, Thon comes to IU and things remain much the same, isn't it conceivable, (despite Fred's delusions) that Crean's tenure here will be short circuited?

You think Glass will "short circuit" Cream's tenure because a project didn't work out? Glass should be asking Cream "Why do we have to recruit projects, and where is our depth at point guard?"

Everyone recruits projects. Bob Knight recruited project kids.

Thon isn't your typical project kid. He's already playing at a high level, but is no where near his potential. I think Crean would actually do an excellent job of developing him as a perimeter player and ball handler. The kid could really grow at IU.
