(2016) C Thon Maker

Recommended Posts

Yes because as we all know there has never ever been a 5 star who didn't pan out. Nope recruiting services get it right every single time.

Dude looks lost on a basketball court. You know who doesn't look like that, guys who can come in and contribute from day 1.

BTW Hanner was 43 in his class. The lesson there is rankings are imprecise.

Yes I know rankings don't mean crap. But the kid is oozing with potential so we have a coach and it's the coaches job to develop the talent that comes in. The point being thon has tons of talent that hasn't been developed yet. Which is CTC's job.

Based on what? His 5 star? Dude doesn't pass the eye test he's that big but can't rebound and can't score. Dude a project and why Crean somebody for a project. Rather go after Murray. Or another PG.

That may be an option if IU were close on Murray

I think that game should make IU lay off on his recruitment. He appears to be very much a project, with a long, long way to go.

Our coach is every bit as much a project, with a long, long way to to too. Perhaps if Thon comes to IU and helps us get banner #6, the resulting euphoria will help us to again don rose colored glasses when assessing Crean's coaching ability. Hope does tend to spring eternal in Fred Glass' world. If on the other hand, Thon comes to IU and things remain much the same, isn't it conceivable, (despite Fred's delusions) that Crean's tenure here will be short circuited?

Try to stay positive, as I do.

Wouldn't you gladly take this project over certain other IU projects? I would.

What I would really like is for IU to get back to the point where the team doesn't have to recruit projects, period.

You think Glass will "short circuit" Cream's tenure because a project didn't work out? Glass should be asking Cream "Why do we have to recruit projects, and where is our depth at point guard?"
