I agree that coach is ultimately responsible for the team, but this falls on Devin's shoulders. They had practice hours before and were told to make smart decisions. They didn't. None of this would be as big as it is had he not jumped into a moving vehicle. Even though the facts are out there, it is still being largely reported as a "drunk running over his teammate" which is very irresponsible by those media outlets. I'm looking at you WTHR, etc. Kids getting in trouble is one thing, but parents don't want to think their kids will be in danger. That's why this is the worst part.

That horse has been beat and dragged through the dirt so much, everyone's tired of hearing it. Theres plenty of more appropriate threads for it too. Zimm hasn't really been realistic for IU for some time anyway, I'm glad the coaches are focusing resources elsewhere.

Co-incidentally, #IUBB recruiting has fallen off and Kenny Johnson is gone. So is Bennie Seltzer. All of this begs the question: who was really doing the heavy lifting - Crean or his assistants. I am not saying anything here, as much as a I am just asking a question.

I really don't want this kid. Somebody whose mom is that active with his stuff has to be a liability of some sort. Not saying it isn't nice that his mom is concerned about his son. Just this level is weird. And selfie pictures like that are creepy generally.
