Bradshaw was never short on talent, his problem was between his ears.

As far as our money, I think with one position to fill, if we do, money could be gotten for a starting big wing that averaged 16.9 ppg and was the best 3pt shooter in the country.

Other than that I don't know who else is left.

Not many options. Looks like Euros who have played professionally at a high level are off the table and 5for5 doesn't apply to kids who graduated this year. The transfer portal is pretty much depleted. Only a couple who interest me for what we need:

Emeka Opurum- 7'0" from Auburn who we were involved with last year as a juco. Only problem is he sat out last year with a heart condition. Supposedly has been medically cleared to play and visited N.C. State last weekend.

Hamad Mousa-6'8" from Cal Poly a high scoring wing and great shooter. Just not sure about the level of competition but Michigan and Kentucky have been involved.

Why don’t we take a look from our football squad? Prescott Horvath from Mishawaka, 6’8-6’9/280. Never seen him play, saw an average of 20p 8r. Would seem to add another practice player? Anyone here seen him play?

Mike Walz from Richmond? 6’11-260, avg 8p 6r last year in 21-22mpg while shooting 38.5% from 3pt

Had not heard of him- might be a good fit especially with that shooting ability.

Did some more digging and saw another guy who might help-Veljko Ilic from Sam Houston State averaged 11ppg and 6 boards-6'10" 240. Maybe knows Lamar.

At this point I would settle for Okechukwu Okeke from Albany. He is actually a Hoosier born in East Chicago.

Every time I see something like this pop up in mid-June it reminds me that even though we assume the roster is done it ain’t necessarily so because kids continue to crawl out of the woodwork.

Is  he for 2026 or 2027? Noticed he is only 17. Seems to be pretty skilled and can shoot the 3 ball.

Any word on if we plan to fill the last spot or hold it for a HS kid?

In an ideal world, you fill the last spot early in summer, not in July/August so that the player gets acclimated — especially if it is a foreign player.

He'll be available mid to late January

According to this article, he isn’t on a football scholly — he’s a preferred walk on.

So legitimate question: do we fill the 13th scholarship or not? I had naively assumed they would. The need for an additional frontcourt depth piece is blatantly obvious.  Do we really need to save it for 2027? Monden will be the only senior but you figure Sherrell might go pro and someone will transfer so that is 3. Sign a 6'9"-6'10" senior big body and lets go. As it is we are an injury away from mediocrity. And as Indiana fans we know all to well that injuries happen.

We have one. Euro something or other.

How do you plan to sign a 6’10” post player who is good but not expected to get any real minutes but wants to patiently wait on the bench in the case of an emergency? That’s just a tough putt.

I would want Yig and Sherrell to play as much as possible together…that leaves plenty of time for another quality combo Big for rotational minutes, and a lot more if foul or injury happens.  That’s how you build a NC contender roster.  Not by skimping by and playing one big at a time in this conference. Shouldn’t we have learned that by now?

If we grab another big, I’d expect it to be someone that is about the level of Langdon Hatton.

I think we would need to pony up for a Bradshaw-esk type to really get some much needed traction at this point.

Got to get over that hump
