I'm going to assume we have 6-7 REALLY solid rotational pieces for multiple games in the tournament. Someone will inevitably not work out/get injured. So I'd love to see one more impact guy (fringe starter) and one more depth piece. Impact guy should be a larger wing/small ball 5 with the depth piece being a backcourt defender. Someone that can initiate the offense, be physical defensively, and bring a high level of energy every time he's on the court.

Burton / Lindsay / Mustaf / Sherrell / Yigi is an interesting group of starters.

How will the perimeter defense look? Thankfully this team will have some rim protection at least. And will Sherrell get into top shape / be able to function switching on the perimeter on D?

The last 3 spots to fill will be interesting and as was said in the other thread, could define the team's ceiling...

We need another big guy... Seems like some prefer a strong rebounding 3/4 or a big, big guy. Probably comes down to how many minutes you think are there for the 3rd big.

I think a true 5 would be more beneficial. I see Sisley as an already in place big 3 that can play at the 4. Need that big body but can be a guy that you're also looking to develop but has shown potential. Another developmental PG or a sharp shooter would be ideal.

Would guess it’s 2 bigs, a rotation-quality 4/5, and I’d bet that kid will be a 1 year physically mature guy who understands his role, maybe what Alexis should have been, and a longer term break the glass kid but better than Acimovic. The 3rd scholly for some gift from heaven but otherwise unused.

I think you have to get a big wing in some capacity regardless. Maybe the skillset is different than I mentioned earlier, but it's the one spot where you don't really have an answer defensively. If you are matched up against a really strong 6'7-6'9 wing, who on this existing roster can match up? Sherrill/Yigi are going to be too slow and the guards are all too small outside maybe Mustaf.

If the staff could somehow pull Gavin Sykes that would be insane. Price tag would have to be huge as he’d be passing up a star role at other places.

I’m with ya on Sykes.  Big time. Just not sure where the minutes come from. Sounds like the third surprise is in store.  Last 2 spots being held for Euros.

Ball handler and shooter. He’s more versatile than Harris or Mustaf offensively. Could very well be a 6th man. Agree it would be a tough sell, he’s got decent suitors.

I’d love one more big wing, and then a few developmental pieces to stash for next year. We have to get away from portaling a full roster every year.

Roster could have been set.   Dorn was 50/50 and 2 euros could have stayed.    Everyone glad those spots are open still?

I personally would've been fine keeping those 3.  I think we needed some continuity more than just Sisley. Hopefully next off-season starts that trend!

Hear ya, but it looks like last year just showed a reset was needed. Maybe with evals from Carr and DDV and the effort to go after players with more than 1 yr left. These guys are all high major recruits and much needed at this level. So anyway I'm fine with letting the continuity grow from here.

Dorn as the shooter off the bench yes, the two Euros no. Would mean next years roster lacked an experienced and experienced ball handler off the bench.

I love the 1, 4, and 5 spots.

I'm not as bullish about the 2 and 3.

I think Jaeden is solid. I like Bryce as a depth piece. He flashed a little but was MIA too much this past season. Darren just couldn't get any run. I know Duke was talented, but only averaging less than 10 minutes a game makes me think he's not reliable starter material. Maybe a fine depth piece though.

Considering the vast improvements I can’t complain much, but what little I can I'll devote to wishing we had another high quality wing.
