The stats were compiled by a graduate of the Florida public school system.Or maybe the Department of Corrections.

Here is a great article on the impact of being good at football for IU.  AD donations doubled from $25M to $50M.  Applications are up.  All sorts of stuff.

I've been saying this for decades!!! And it would have happened if we'd just put a decent product on the field, not a top of the mountain type of product. I'm so thankful for Pam Whitten coming in and making this come to fruition. I'm looking forward to the stadium expansion and further investments into the football program.

Being good at football did wonders for Florida and Clemson’s rankings as public schools over time. 

We’ll hopefully see the same. More applications, more selectiveness, more money to spend on campus….

more scholarships to award to elite in and out of state students and higher caliber graduates which leads to more endowment etc etc. A great cycle to find yourself in.

Thinking about the embarrassment of riches if Wyatt comes back. Assuming he's recovered from his injury too, don't forget about how dynamic he is. Pretty sure he mostly played off the ball at Maryland. You can plug him in just about anywhere situationally on this defense.

With all the options available to Haines (and Gracie Bear), that front is going to be fresh for 60 minutes and absolutely destroy offensive lines deep into games.

Yea.  When Cig was hired my hope is we could become something decent like Minnesota, and maybe over time an Iowa type program.  It’s not like folks here don’t like football.  If you put the IUFB teams from 1900-2023 in Columbus or Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge… they wouldn’t have fanbases either.

We blew past my hopes and dreams.  This is our window to get established.  Let’s get the stadium renovation/expansion going!

Something I would like to do/try is to make watch parties at assembly hall the norm.  
 

I think that’s the next route to building a fanbase and increasing revenue.  

our stadium is too small for our alumni/fanbase but have this cheaper option of a place to go to be part of the community. tailgate with the fanbase then head to memorial stadium or assemble hall

Before getting hurt against ISU, Lee Beebe was on pace to be an 800+ yard rusher (regular season) and 1100+ yard rusher (postseason included) and is probably the 3rd-most talked about RB in that room coming into this year.

Spending this kind of money is an extraordinarily risky play for universities because unlike IU/Cignetti, so many of them spend it on the wrong guy.

For every '$13.2 million bargain' like Cig (which is undeniably true), there are countless big money investments put into programs and staffs that do not pay off with wins, donations, and university-wide presitge.

From what I understand, the pool is a lot smaller than people think and the number of impact guys on that list is even smaller.  IU will have the 2 most impactful players on that list with Daley and Wyatt returning and its probably not close.
