Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 21 Posted January 21 A winnable game but can we win on the road? Ruger (9-10) (2-6) averages just 70 ppg shooting 41% FG and 32% on 3s. Their opponents have shot 45% and 37% respectively. However, last night we managed just 40% and 32% against Michigan. Ruger averages 37 rpg but just 11 assists/game so lots of "me" ball. Tariq Francis at 15.3 and Dylan Grant at 11.5 are their leading scorers. Jamichael Davis at 38% and Grant at 36% are their best 3-point shooters with any volume on the season. Emmanuel Ogbole at 6.9 and Grant at 4.8 are their leading rebounders. Davis leads them in assists with 50 vs. just 19 turnovers. Have to feel at least some optimism that we can come away with a win. After this game, it's back to Bloomington to host the PUkers on Tuesday night. Radio Live Stats Ryno6284 and mamasa 1 1 Quote

Seems like we've also often been soft there over the past ugly 8 years. Our current guys aren't soft, hopefully that makes a difference as well. str8baller 1 Quote
fwgreenway Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Lets see....defend without fouling....rebound our defensive board and make 3's all night. See....that was easy! HoosierHoopster, ALASKA HOOSIER and Dave from Dayton 3 Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I am cautiously optimistic (somehow, not sure how) that our guys will get it together for this game and come away with the W. Rutger is bad. We're not good on the road but did win at MD, our last W. Time to put the 4-game losing streak behind, get a W before having to deal with PUke. This may be a year where we look like we're out but then have a run in the back end of the schedule. Once we get to Feb. 24, it's home games against NW, MSU, Minny, then at OSU to close out the season. At least a possibility of a 4-0 run. Quote

Hoosier DaDa Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I have lost interest. I just did a Google search to see when IU played again. Found out 2 things: 1. IU plays in 40 minutes 2. Cignetti still wins ALASKA HOOSIER and Rimbender 2 Quote
