It’s on the coach and the players.  The players wanted to make a big show about being disappointed about losing to NW the first time.  If I remember right Tucker started crying in the press conference and Wilkerson said there is no way we should have lost to NW.  Pure theatre.  You don’t feel that strong about losing to a team to come out and get rolled by them two weeks later.  Clown show all the way around

When you consider how we likely could've had Dusty May at various points, as most Michigan fans will readily admit, it's easy to go kinda nuts. I can't get over that. I've really wanted DDV to show he can win too but there's just no reason to believe that coming out of this year. Hopefully he proves people wrong next year. Lot of work to do in the portal. Starting to think more than 5 spots may be flipped. Goodness gracious. We have plenty of time to get a jump on the portal now. No excuses...

Pretty embarrassing. I’m still in the camp that his style can win in this league with actual dudes on the roster, but also now in the camp that if he flops in the portal and has another dud of year next season that should be it. Staff better get to work tonight.

Poor roster construction, poor coaching, poor player substitution, no building for future, totally waste of a year.  Sisley only player worth a **** for the future.

I believe I said that those guys sucked in year one, but so did Archie Miller and Ben Johnson.

Woody didn’t care at all about metrics, but that team also didn’t have any losses outside Quad 1. Just been a miserable 10 years and counting steeped in mediocrity for a passionate fan base/alums/community in a basketball crazy state

The less athletic your team, the more movement and teamwork you need.  We went backwards.

Would this year’s WVU beat this year’s IU team on a neutral floor? I feel like they would and by some margin.

Not you, that’s been mentioned by a bunch of people. Here and other places. 
 

The question is: did they suck or were they building something? Devries stunk this year even independent of the roster. And we’re not bringing anything back. Wanna compare him to Golden (because Hurley and Underwood didn’t even start in the NIL era)? Ok, go land an all star guard in the portal plus two pro level bigs and win a title in the next two years. Because that’s what Golden did.  

Comparing him to Kelsey and McCollum and Odom is being nice because they haven’t done much except be competent in year 1. But people don’t like those comparisons.

Maybe. Last years IU coached by Woody definitely would.

Devries old team even is about to have the same record as us and he got an even later start with much less money. Just a terrible season

Can I have a refund on my season tickets? I don’t know what the answer is, I do know there is at least one more season.

coach is going to have to knock it out of the park in the portal, overhaul defensive strategy, and revamp the offense. A middle school coach could game plan for our offense this year. We literally ran some version of the same play every possession and guess who we planned on scoring!

Here’s to the darkness of the offseason, no IU basketball, no IU football, what am I supposed to do spend my time with the wife and kids? Sounds horrible! Lol.

Good point on building something. This was a wasted season. Really nothing on this roster to build on.
